I saw it in IMAX 3D and I really couldn't tell if I was actually only watching in 2D and it certainly didn't feel like it was in HFR.

Anyway, the film's good. Cliched and cheesy but with satisfying amount of action. The most less draggy one compared to the previous two instalments lol

RT score has been flaky, just about makes it as 'good'. I think the battles are totally worth the ticket admission! tongue.gif

No hurry then, will catch it next week perhaps.

2 hours plus of of non-stop actions
hardly any draggy scenes in between the actions.

the ringwraiths battle is awesome! rclxm9.gif
that's my fav battle!

and a few tear jerking scenes as well cry.gif

the whole battle of five armies following quite closely to the book, except the goblin armies are replaced with the Orc armies, but you'll still see a few goblins there tongue.gif

4.5/5 for me thumbup.gif

4 out of 5 for me. Did you guyz noticed there were quite a few scenes from the trailers that are not in the movie?

Overall, it's a good movie. Pure action from the start to finish, but don't expect ROTK scale of epic battle, so lower your expectations.

Yeah, I noticed this too. It's not as smooth as previous two movies. It's like watching normal 2D 24fps.

TGV has confirmed that their IMAX will be in 24fps. In fact they said this for the past two years already.
I had the misfortune of watching it in IMAX during the first year. Then I rewatched it in HFR and never went back

This movie was definitely the best out of the hobbit trilogy for me, but fell short from the LOTR-trilogy. The battle scene was just OK compared to the one in LOTR-trilogy. Overall 3.5/5 from me. Maybe i expect too much since its the last of the trilogy. nod.gif but demm, Thranduil / Lee Pace is fcking hot! Tauriel is hot as well! Demmm elves is hot! drool.gif wub.gif wub.gif wub.gif

The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies (2014) (HFR 3D Signature Cinema The Gardens)

Okay, for the parties who are interested to know if the HFR 3D is worth the money, I have watched all three episodes in 48 frames 3D and the answer is YES!

You will not believe the details you get from the start if the movie, namely

As for the rest of the movie, by Jove Peter, do you really need the money??

This seriously, is a two parter, at most!!! A three parter!?! Come on!!

A VERY self indulgent project.

Now, I really REALLY wish Guillermo had stuck on to direct it!!

Don't get me wrong, production quality is through the roof, unfortunately, there just isn't that much of a story....

I kinda remember the story (I;ve read the book). I remember how it ended

If you have watched the first and second, how can you possibly missed this!!

Cathay e@Curve does not show it in HFR 3D this time sad.gif

I think many people are right that there isn't just enough sub plots to support the main plot (battle for the mountain), I guess we need to wait for 8 months to get the extended version on Bluray to see a more comprehensive storyline.

However, the battles make it worthwhile to watch biggrin.gif

is an out of place awkward scenes that shouldn't be in the movie
I feel like PJ just wanna add it in to have some relate to the LOTR trilogy
but he has forgotten that
