AVS HD 709 calibration tool is as good as any comercial calibration tools selling out there. Just remember if you use this, you must buy the blue filter in order to do the color calibration, otherwise you can only calibrate black and white levels only....thinking of getting Datacolor SpyderTV or Spyder2...learning new stuffs are really fun...
Can the AVS HD 709 calibration tool calibrate brightness and correct colour temperature?

thanks bro. Some guys were saying that 1080p not really an issue because most games on ps3 runs at 720... is this true?
Sorry, I'm no gamer.

But you did mention Bluray. So I assume you want 1080p.

i've check out the Phillips at ewarehouse
http://www.ewarehouse.com.my/webshaper/sto...ProductItem=393apparently contrast is 8000:1 and response time is 8ms.

Someone was saying to go for 5ms... and if possible 10000:1, but would the phillips stats be that bad for ps3? btw, its RM5399... if there's a real shop I rather go there and buy though.
Hmmm, my W400A is 8ms panel... How?
Best is to go to Besk Denki, Harvey Norman etc to audition the set. See if you like it. Then buy somewhere else where it's cheaper.
