R8 is not too bad..just the reds are over exaggerated but that can be solved by reducing the individual color levels.
Me waiting for PV80. I sure hope i don't have to wait long.

aiya, then how come u ended up with a PV70 instead of a Kuro?
Shumacky : Wait a little longer.. when PV080 gets released, the PV70's price will drop like dead flies.. I believe a PV70 should be better than all the models that u've mentioned. QUOTE(rx330 @ Mar 7 2008, 10:34 AM) This post has been edited by welwitchia: Mar 7 2008, 05:25 PM |

Err..guys, anyone of u know about the Sony KLV-46W400A ??
I've practically given up the prospect of getting the Panasonic PV80. I'm thinking of getting a 1080p display and doubling it as my PC screen (I only do occasional surfing..most of the time turning it on to BT only). I can't seem to find any reviews on it. Will be getting it most likely in June/July. Hopefully the price would have fallen more by then. |

The KLV-40W400A is a tad small esp when u consider most mid-sized screens are at 42". Having said that, I just came back from Midvalley after spending about 2hrs looking at the W400 series. I have to say the PQ is very good..well, at least for me. Colors look pretty nice and not over poweringl.
On a side note, the KLV-46W400W can be had for RM 9300. Fingers crossed, if my cousin takes my 32" Samsung R8 tomorrow, the KLV-46W400W will be mine very soon. QUOTE(tot31 @ Mar 30 2008, 11:00 PM) |

The Panasonic PV80 is out and they have a road show @ Sunway Pyramid. 42" PV80 retails at RM4949. Very nice PQ.. better design than the 'older' PV70.

Hey RX, ask u a question. Lets say I give u 2 choice
1) 42" Panasonic PV80 2) 40" Sony KLV-40W400A Yes I know the Sony is more expensive but please ignore the price in this case. Which will u choose? It will be used to play BDs, DVDs and of course, regular PS3 gaming. I have a hard time deciding between the 2. |

Yes I know, I plan to use my TV as my PC monitor too and 1080p makes a huge difference when u use to do occassional surfing. Anyway, I think I'll make my purchase real soon.. I'm basically free from CC debt now. Time to be in debt again.

Yeah, it gets tedious when u keep having to transfer files to the thumbdrive to watch it on the PS3.
Anyway, the PV80 is bad with the PC? |

I took the plunge and bought the Sony 40" W400. So far, I'm very happy with it.
Gonna connect my notebook to it later with HDMI try to surf the net with it. |
