sry, all the above except administration, i prefer a secular goverment and of course an efficient check and balance agency that is independent of the goverment like an onbudsman system. anway brunei health care is giler good, last time i went to a private hospital in Damansara visit my grandma, and this brunei's women was having an operation there and she stayed in a 5-star hotel all paid for by the goverment, anyway she was a nice lady, of course brunei could afford that since they have a low population and not to mention none of theirs citizen pay income taxes, now imagine sarawak with all those hydro energy and also our 'virgin' land that's suitable for palm oil. Man ...surely our people could be better off without the west, anyway 'he' stayed too long on power ...... and beside he rule and divide, headache la sarawak politics, even the Iban's can't seem to work together.

Frankly, I'll take Taib over any attempt by UMNO to come into Sarawak. Look at what UMNO has done to Sabah. I mean seriously, what does it take to satisfy "westerners"? We give them 95% of our oil revenue, give up our forests (and the nomadic lifestyle of the Penans) to build a dam which with so much surplus power we don't need, allow Rio Tinto to make a smelter plant, learn Bahasa Malaysia, give them Idris Jala to save MAS, and they still want to come in and destroy us.

We just swapped one colonial power for another. And we didn't mind Anthony Brooke.

On a matter of broadband speed, lets assume all you get is 10KB/s with streamyx. Run it flat out 24/7/30, and you'll still be able to pull about 25GB of data, for RM66 a month. Even we assume a purchasing power of 1 to 1 with the RM/AUD, A$ 66/month gets you about 20-30GB of data allowance. I don't think there is any difference there.

Bandwidth is expensive in Australia, as there are only 2 main cables connecting Australia to the outside world: Southern Cross Cable (SXC) and the Australia-Japan Cable (AJC), unlike SEA where we seem to be surrounded by cables left, right and center. Through it didn't help much in end 2006 when the Hengchun earthquake struck. And if you think Australia is bad, wait till you see poor old New Zealand. They only one cable to the outside world, and when Auckland lost power for 14 hours in 2006, the whole of NZ lost all internet connectivity.

you can get unlimited adsl 1 only on a business plan. you can still get adsl 2+ unlimited on a business plan but be prepare to pay over a grand a month. you need your own abn in order to apply for it and you wont be able to see the plan online, you need to call and ask or by referral.

Korean girl. China man owner. 20GB cap. ADSL 2+ which sounds like cable. Plant, are you staying in Woolloongabba?

Anyway, welcome to the land of capped internet. Where "unlimited" means you get shaped to 64k.

Ah no wonder... my bro using my comp used over 14 GB just two days.. lol the owner didnt told me it was limited, he told me the speed was 20GB and was unlmited, yesterday he told me another story, i really dislike the owner wife, everywhere also stick notice paper. Now they cut my line, =.=" i paid $5 per week for internet line just to surf web which isn't my style.. at least give me 5GB to used.

Wooloongabba? is it located near the city? i did take a bus to the city and did notice a bus station in Wooloongabba but the bus i took didnt pass that area, so right now i am living near nathan campus but studying in South Bank. Currently looking any place in the city.

hmmm ....... i wish but i nvr imply that but obviously west more superior than us ........... haya i appreciate your view. KVReninem totally agreed with you, lets talk abt aussie now instead of the motherland. smile.gif , what haya said is correct, NZ broadband are very very expensive and it's not value for money compare to Aussie. Hey i thought they hav a 3rd cable from Western Australia to SEA ?

hey guyz, can somebody help me with this... I juz got my mobile phone unlocked at the 3 shop this afternoon. So I was wondering is it possible to post it back home? or anyone actually had exprerience with this?

and yeah.. I'm worried abt security of the delivery. I had a quick run-thru on the Australia Post website, the air-mail offers the most affordable method but it does not require addressee for the signature-on-delivery, if I'm not mistaken

so, anyone.. ANYONE pls, shed some light on this or tell me some story about u or your fellow friends as to posting handphone back home
Thank you v much! icon_rolleyes.gif
