Hi guys blush.gif

Anyone here left handed and playing the violin?

Is it easy to familiarize by playing with the normal ones?

Or there are special violins for left handed people? Is it more expensive?

Does right-handed instructor could teach the left-handed pupil without any difference with the right-handed pupil?

If I were to start learning how to play violin, is there any school/instructor that teach adult newbies? sad.gif

I'm interested to learn violin, but I'm left handed, and old (24) sad.gif

lolz...i dont think it makes any difference if you are left or right handed, its just the matter of the relocation of the violins shoulder rest
i dont think age is a prob...just learn it if you have passion for the instrument...passion/love for the instrument is more important than age smile.gif

Really? I tried to play my friend's guitar, and ended up my right hand can't pluck the strings. Something is wrong with my brain coordination I guess sweat.gif

But are there such things as violin for left-handed? hmm.gif

Icic, so it should be no problem with me then smile.gif

I'm interested in learning violin coz I loooooovveeeee the sound it could make. Been wanting to learn since school, but my parents were really against music classes, I have to wait until I start working and have my own money, so they can't object too much I guess coz I won't be spending their money tongue.gif

I have no experience with it. Mozart is left-handed and he plays the violin right-handed.

Coincidence??? shocking.gif

Haha except for the age part..
I told my mum that I wanted to use my salary to pay off the fees but now she insisted she doesn't mind paying for me.

hmm.gif But if you practice long enough, right or left handed, shouldn't be a problem, should it??
If you change the placement of the chin rest, won't it become a lefty's violin?
