Check out an exhibition held in MPO recently, until next Friday.

The content is about Italian violins - those old master (multi million US dollars) like Stradivarius and Guarnerius, and also the modern Italians. There's also a concert consist of all these wonder instruments, played in a chamber setting.

Don't miss it, wonder how a piece of wood that can buy you the whole shopping mall looks like? Don't miss it!

i'm going there tomorrow or wednesday, it's once in a life time opportunity unless you want to travel to europe/italy. laugh.gif

hi ppl,
I'm so glad I finally found a place to ask questions on violin in malaysia. smile.gif

I love music and have been wanting to learn at least ONE instrument in my lifetime. I love strings and would like to pick up violin but was afraid that it'll be too hard for me. Recently I've decided to take the plunge.

Saw the promo and I'm taking it as a sign for me to realise my dreams (THAT or a chance to torture a music teacher...). Any chance of me getting the "Mysterious Gift" even if I enrolled a week after the deadline? tongue.gif
(I'm assuming the promo is still on in July)

I'm looking for a Yamaha electric violin (SILENT) right now because I'm shy and I don't want my neighbours to burn my house down while I proceed to saw the life out of my violin. It plays the same as a tradional one yes?

I might drop by this weekend to check out your shop. btw, what are your opening time? Hopefully, you'll not deem me an impossible mission. tongue.gif

btw, anyone know where I find a trustworthy shop for the Yamaha electric violin? I'm like a TOTAL NOOB when it comes to instruments. sad.gif
I don't want to empty my piggy bank for a problematic / overpriced item.

Thanks! smile.gif

Wow... can someone tell me why is there a HUGE price difference between Malaysia and other countries?
I'm not even talking about handmade pieces from Europe. I would have assumed Yamaha (with its worldwide branches) will have similiar pricing across the globe. (The pricing does seemed uniformed... except when it comes to Malaysia)

I was checking out prices for the Yamaha SV-120 which is quite uniformedly priced around RM 1,800 - RM 2,100 AROUND THE WORLD... but when it comes to malaysia... WELL OVER 3k??!!!

Am I missing something? sad.gif

unless one go oversea to buy the instruments, you cannot try the instrument if buying off internet. sweat.gif

and paying the air ticket, i think buying locally is better... rclxub.gif
