last time my tutor quite good, she stressed on posture and bow-grip in the first few classes. When you are good enough, she'll focus on the richness of ur sound. too bad she isn't free during weekends. Nvm, I'll start looking for new tutor on April.
I din use a mute, i just make sure my housemates heard the awful sound...hehe

hmm. actually a few that i asked, teachers are only available on sunday cos they said all full liao.

mute really helps to quieten down kiyoshi smile.gif but leave some black marks on the bridge though....

heheh i named my violin kiyoshi. do you guys name your instrument? cos i was thinking that we will be spending loads of time together ... anyone as crazy as me out there?

i oso noticed no one posts their instrument pix here? erm i guess i'm overexcited one here, eh?

IOI mall yamaha got a lady teacher according to the manager there. she only has slot for sunday.
pm you the hp of the another lady in charge of musikgarden (or something like tat) it's for todds but she said they teach addult also.
currently the teacher only have sundays slot.

i'm a little worried now ... i'm having quite a hard time adjusting my grip on the bow.... how long did u guys take to perfect this?
and i tried to play some fingering and i feel my fingers so stiff like cannot hold down the string properly cry.gif maybe too old liao fingers stiff liao? cry.gif

thx for the contact. Im not perfect in holding the bow yet, but a lot better than before. you need to train your pinkie's strength a lot.

It'll take quite some time for your finger to get used to playing instruments. Just like the very first time you hold a playstation joypad and trying to perform some moves in games. How long it'll take is individual dependent, just be patient, and practice is the only way to overcome the problem.

By the way mind to tell what's your age? biggrin.gif

hmm... to tell u the truth ... i never held a playstation joypad before ... but yea... i guess it takes practice ...

Final Fantasy sheet music is hard to find. I play most of them through ears. Too bad I cannot make it into an orchestra piece.
