just go for any X48 mobo if you wanna grab new mobo.
chipset will be running cooler by then.

hmm only rampage formula and gaygaybyte X48 seems to support DDR2

but looking at the way ppl are overlclocking.. i think better not..

bro how ur oc on dis mobo wit ur e84?can go highest clock with wat vcore?if stock vcore can go how high?vdrop how much with ur e84 runing on dis mobo?

this is a vmod alrite...but not vdroop mod, which i'm dying (well,not really la... tongue.gif ) to have...
it will increase the vcore even on default setting and will put a lot of stress on other hardware - cpu included;especially on the mosfet.
i think i'll stick with current crazy vdroop... doh.gif

@mfcm, how you change the multi to x8.5???

my dk only allowed 6-7-8-9 multi.

i'm just running this E8400+DK to 425x8=3.4Ghz, stock vcore-1.1375v(bios), load-1.120v , vdimm-2.0v, nb core-1.33v, ht link-1.08v. smile.gif

so far running ortho , small fft, large, and blend, more then 4hours each without error. rclxms.gif

*i had try 4ghz before, 450x9=4.050ghz, with 1.32v, running occt 30min pass, prime 1hour also pass,
but then dota for 2hours giving me a reboot. doh.gif

there one option there u need to enable..its N/2 iinm..dunno previous bios or not..but mine got.bios 24/12

yeah i think previous bios dont hv..u can use winflash.im using winflash oso.thres guide for it in dfi website..jus caution make sure u didnt hv electricity prob while do it..gud luck bro thumbup.gif

tried to use 1.232v load for 445x9..but failed after 5hours 45min prime sweat.gif so up abit vcore to 1.264 set in bios n idle..1.248v load for 12hours 40min prime rclxm9.gif

Why such a low OC? Don't waste your E8400, OC higher!!!! thumbup.gif

I flashed my P35-DS3 using boot disk but still kaput. Apparently the mobo had issues with BIOS flashing.... version 1.0..... now RMA, hopefully they give me the newest version!!! laugh.gif
