that's without graphic card and the position is facing the graphic card PCB, how about facing other direction?

doh.gif, running on stock Team Extreme DDR2 800MHz, all went well until i started overclock the RAM, hitting DDR2 1000MHz is easy with loose timing, rebooting... doh.gif, the system cannot boot anymore, thinking maybe too much, lowering down the CPU frequency by using CPU multiplier, still the same... increasing vDIMM too... nothing change, swap slot 1st trial on orange slot, 2nd on yellow slot, still... nothing change, it just won't boot... i was like... doh.gif shocking.gif, thinking maybe i killed the RAM, try on single module A... will boot, DIMM1, DIMM2, DIMM3 and DIMM4, but on module B, it won't boot no matter which slot i plugged... guess i killed the RAM, tried on my other system... MSI P35 Neo2-FR, doh.gif, voila... went well over DDR2 1125MHz @5-5-5-15 (without any tweak initially)... i was like... oh my, what's going on here... currently on 2x1GB Kingston ValueRAM + 1x1GB Aeneon ValueRAM both @DDR2 781MHz @5-5-5-15
*
increase ure referesh cycle time.. say 52??
u get better compaitability for more than 2 sticks of ram..
also might want to increase that mch ..

use of memset and setfsb is just to make lazy ppl from restarting the comp
for asus mobo's usually safer as whenever we restart it will does a immediate shut off spin of the HDD.. killing it easily..

for ure mobo i think they call it delay something in ure dram timings.. channel something..

take it like this 400 bus strap 333.. light/moderate strength is equivalent to 400 bus strap 400 aggressive/more aggresive strength..
difference is VcMH.. lower on strap 400.
lowest tRD settings easier on strap 400.

sounds interesting... can explain more about it? thanks  smile.gif

try it..

reduce ure strength.. increase ure trd.. this will reduce ure NB also ure overshoot hence u can adjust ure gtl better..

later when u found the perfect fsb( vtt termination) aka ht link voltage.. u can up it and ure NB.. till then dont dude..
its a marginal gain from strength.. u can do better bandwidth gain from dram timings.. so just leave it at relax or more relax...

hmm weird lar.. i have been seeing soulfly .. aka moderator been telling everybody about y rams die or degrade.. aka talking about strength..
nobody seems to be paying attention to him..

geee i feel u bro..
and for 4 ram stick.. use that channel setting to change some trds on different stick.. get better stability..

hmm unless somebody can post ure bios screenshot i can point out for u
ive seen the LP UT version..

i am sure they didnt take out the dram strengths..

cause ure mobo hangs.. aka u guys assume its vcore etc.. but sometimes.. just sometimes.. its actually the mem for bus..
or vtt termination...

thats y so many ppl are getting different vcores .. i mean a lot of difference on same proc with same batch.. even some on different mobo's ( stupid reviewers this part.. plug and play sponsered monkeys)
when they compare mobo they say this mobo can get this much bus or vcore etc and the other less...

Err...
When did i assume something on the Lanparty?
I never did.

I'm just telling something to a 25 year old "kid" that comparing a 1 year old IP35-E with a newly launched DFI Lanparty DK P35 T2R is a stupid thing to do.

By the way, i don't think i want to get this board, for what lol?
I already have Abit IX38 Quad GT & DFI Lanparty LT X38 T2R.
*
okay 2 silly boards but ..each to his own..

but anyway this is a DFI thread... so ure so far not helping bro..
guys .. for overclocking this board
shawty tell me .. y this board is better than mars??

because of??

since u have the LT X38.. and the bios is similar.. tell them in this thread..
its one reason heck thats even better than maximus/rampage/blitz all the asus boards..... if rampage had that option heck i would be the first one to buy that board when its officially released...it would make that board beyond awesome.

which is?
u guys should treasure this board for it.... its the highlight of the year man..
i played with the UT version of my friends board a few days ago and because of this one feature.. i put this board in the awesome category ( has anybody seen series chuck.. mr.awesome.??.kekeke)
i suppose this should be the pros of digital pwm.. to be able to do that..

seriously u owners of this board.. this feature is really awesome..
has anybody found a droop mod for this board??
cause i notice the droop was pretty bad..even with the loadline around 0.02-0.03v with a E8400.

i wonder if shawty can answer this.. since he has the LT X38 supposedly .. and hope he knows the x38 bios is based on the DK and not the UT... so he could actually comment here cause they would get similar results..

heck i hope the X48 board will have the UT bios.. screw asus man.. ( sorry my poor maximus but the digital pwm .. has shown its light.. the rest of the flaws can be overcomed.. but that one feature... damn)

muahahaha
u already answered that question with the whole tirade....gee this 4ghz mystical e8400 virus effct is spreading.. mushrooms???
u dont know..and have no clue.. and i nver said u said this board is better
I SAY it IS BETTER... actually promoting sales here.. kekeke.. nice board ppl.. totally impressed..

oh yeah btw i speak japanese so yes u can..

jy14 whens the next shipment..
u have a moq right..
pm me bro if the x48 is coming.. interested in dfi.. i HOPE it has the same feature.. which it should

ps read the whole thread again.. ure the one arguing..thats i said u should know better.. argue with a fact .
i am trying to say u dont know this board.... like period.... cause u just argued about FSB.... also stop reading reviews.. try that mobo u supposedly have and argue back.. since its about the same as the DK p35..ish..

age or release dates means nothing...

again ppl this board is awesome...

sishh nothing to do with this freaking thread..
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

okay let get this straight when u go full digital pwm on mobo like abit and dfi..
even though they reduce flux for some reason theres a lot of droop and also wrong voltage readings like quite big compared to analogs..

but putting that aside.. which u can just go ahead and say i dont care ( personally i say too unless u want to break WR).. stability is more important.. and with the flexibility of the digital pwm and good software to bios feedback which dfi has.. its just amazing wha the engineers did with this board..

so thats that for both of u... who both is just keep talking about i have this board and u have that board and
dfi engineers were dumb .. sish.

etc example of cons of digital pwm.. early adopters of the abit quadgt x38 like bstdude can tell u about what happen to his proc/rams and graphic card..burn baby burn

let just cut the crap off.
anymore OC results from the DK P35 users??

* i was thinking to let go my fullset of mobo/q6600/ram and go for X38 soon.
any taker for all that stuff?

rgds
*
nah bro wait..
the x38 bios is more like the DK

so the x48 should be more like the UT i hope..which is gonna be a big plus for ure quadies

so might as well get the king which i suspect is gonna be awesome
the DK and UT especially caught my attention

sorry DFI users.. gonna be joining u guys soon.. but when idiot who dont have the mobo and talk crap with i feel this and that comes here.. should be shot down like a dog..
especially about a great board he has no clue about.

yup unless u have loadline like UT.

noticed something today.. is it what i think it is??
[attachmentid=396292]

its not any of my voltages.. so is it 0/3 and 1/3 gtl voltages?? dfi owners can confirm this with ure board?? since u can set ures..
aka 111 in ure setting means 1.11v

^its should be software bug etc.. from what ive seen, how come almost 80% of ur voltage reading very low compare to default value?? unless u using super cheap "matahari" psu

ps: may i know what fan u using there.. the speed kinda superb(35526rpm).. sweat.gif
*
QUOTE(jy14 @ Feb 11 2008, 12:55 PM)
I guess his fan is actually the pump from his CoolIT FreeZone Elite speed.

Using the ST400 to oc this mobo is surely not enuf, need to wait for my new psu. aih.
*
elite pump is on the PCB... not like frezone which u put in on the mobo...

hmm dunno some crazed mobo fan result or maybe cause i made the bios ignore the cpu fan speed..since there isnt any??

hmm sniper whats vin1 for u ah?? check bios and see whats ure gtl
but ures looks like FSB termination aka CPu VTT aka HT link voltage.

is it okie ? got any problems ? cause mobo got problem wit Vista.
Duno why.
*
is it the utility problem ??
or general ..??

technically p35 is just plug and play once u install vista.. u can change to any p35/x38 mobos.. not too sure about G33.

curious.

yeah...about this 0.67x, 0.63x blabla...what does it mean actually...saw the UT bios for this gtl...dunno how to translate this 0.67x thingy to the 110 or 111 setting like the UT rclxub.gif
btw, i've replaced the stock NB cooler with the HR-05 SLI/IFX...by slightly bend the heatsink, it perfectly snug in between the gfx and the cpu fan. even placed a 80mm fan on it...the temp dropped about 7-10c...idle right now around 43-44c...ok la considering my ambient temp

uik i dont have the UT board bro.. was playing with friends one in singapore during CNY...
awesome..
thats y i think the x48 will be same with the UT since the X38 is same as DK.

read edgeofstability.com

it has excel spreedsheet and he even explained it right to the core..

should rape it with quaddies

wei its the same

haiyo
see the excel sheet

and the graph
so with those 0.67x etc u increase the voltages of the GTL's

whats the difference
only this board and if i am not mistaken one of the ati dfi boards
u can change core 0/2 and core 1/3 idependently

no other boards can and they all assume that both are having the same reading when its not.. so difficult..
have u wondered y sometimes when u run orthos ( try the older one.. which u can choose which core to run and run two of them)
this core fail and the other core didnt??

they are the same
just that software base different
and with vista easier to find stable
since vista on some application stressed both cores to 75-80 percent..
those ppl who were unhappy cause they just found out their system is not stable..
most of the time it was their NB/PLL and rams was the culprit..

show of hands how many ppl here run memtest86 for 1 to 2 days??

and y i am envious of u guys who has this board.. with the ability to control both gtl's..

ran memtest for 24 hrs during my BH-6 days...for burn-in...other than that onli 8 hours...
and i'm currently envy you coz u know why that gtl is so important tongue.gif
i know it is important especially for quaddie but i just dont know how to benefit from it...if using the UT or the RDxx based mobo, u can change the GTL Ref Voltage from say 100 to 110 and other setting, this DK only has 4 setting...0.67x (67%), 0.61x (61%) and another 2 (I think)...i'm totally lost bro...anyway, i'm gonna do the old skool style lah...trial and error...and it will be a lot of errors tongue.gif
*
wei bro i am in the same boat...
if u think that the dk is worse
try imagine most boards out there which has one option only CPU reference GTL..
instead of core 0/2 and core 1/3...
that already makes me envious..

only thing hmm need a quadies to test the full theory..
heck dk can change trd base on both channel of the rams.. ( y is this good) stability for 4 sticks)

anyway me looking at MSI boards.. too.. kekek want to see all the boards ppl neglect.. any hidden jewels..
