yup depend on wat wattage ur psu..enuf or not to suffort ur system when oc..wat cooling u use..enuf or not to cool down ur rig..

wokeh...so that means as long as my psu 12v is stable during load then shud not be a problem rite?

I have about the same type of hardware for my build as yours and I'm sure you can overclock your E8400 more than 3.6Ghz

4ghz should be no problem with E8400,
just only vcore adj. already kao tim!!

can someone here who owning E8400 post up ur ss also ur proc batch for:

1) stock vcore how far u can go
2) ur highest clock also with ur vcore..

survey for new proc...gonna get it in the mean time..

vdimm i make it 2v..the rest on stock default setting..

new core temp release....u guys with E8 series try test it...ist the temperature reading already been corrected...

stock vcore @1.1375V with everything stock, except vdimm set to 2v, 3.6Ghz.
for highest clock, never try yet. still let it burn it for a while. try before 415X9 =3.75ghz not stable with stock voltage.
need to tweak those A,B,C voltage to get it settle down.
i'm not ready yet to get it clock that high.
