QUOTE(flatfinger @ Mar 7 2008, 01:37 AM) erm...no offence here bro..but i dont really agree on this... cos aoi_natsume manage to hit 3.8ghz using ds3 too QUOTE(tyss @ Mar 7 2008, 06:18 PM) i have a p35-ds3 rev2.1 , there should not be a problem going beyond 3.6. i manage to hit 3.7 with stock heaksink, but my temp is too high. Set ur voltage to auto. The mobo will auto adjust the voltage for u. From there u will know how high u can go. After that only slowyly reduce the voltage. IMO better not put to auto.... the mobo will set ur vcore too high from what i experienced last time...i was just OCing an e2140 @2.4ghz n the mobo pump in 1.4V Not sure about the others, maybe u can try this method first? |

QUOTE(overclockalbert @ Mar 10 2008, 08:58 PM) here's mine : wHOA! ultra low VID man... this proc have great potential to do well... cant wait to see how far u can go E8400 Q746A747 SLAPL stock vcore @1.1375V with everything stock, except vdimm set to 2v, 3.6Ghz. for highest clock, never try yet. still let it burn it for a while. try before 415X9 =3.75ghz not stable with stock voltage. need to tweak those A,B,C voltage to get it settle down. i'm not ready yet to get it clock that high. |

maybe u can try with lower multiplier on the same cpu fsb? if cant stable then maybe its time to add ur VTT.... i heard they say for quad core u will have to adjust ur GTL as well....
i think posting this question in dk thread may help u more |

QUOTE(kmarc @ May 8 2008, 05:37 PM) Why can't it reach 3.4Ghz? You're already at 3.3Ghz at 1.2v ma..... or just get a xigmatek cooler...bang for buck...btw just saw at xigmatek thread got a new cooler called "sunbeam core-contact freezer" that performs better than s1283 @ usd36 For penryn, the last I heard/read, the recommendation is not to go above 1.35v... The noctua HSF is nice but maybe you should get a high-end one like the TRUE QUOTE(-pWs- @ May 8 2008, 07:20 PM) Hahaa..no money la bro em bro...is that setting unstable no matter how much vcore pumped? Ya. It is because of the low multi. But i did try 3412MHz. Stable for for few hours then BSOD. I think need a lot of VTT. -pWs- |

QUOTE(lichyetan @ May 8 2008, 11:16 PM) according to xtremesystems, those new 9-series quad core intel proc need more vtt and vNb to reach higher clock.... vcore should be lower as its 45nm... can go xtremesystems there to refer to... and also the GTL references... is the GTL references is like the one in edgeofstability.com? got any link ka bro? |

QUOTE(§layerXT @ May 27 2008, 07:29 PM) I think its not quite normal, anyway 45nm in this early revision is kinda hot when increasing vcore more than 1.4v. And in ur case please check whether ur ttbtvx had properly install and contact with the IHS. I ty E8400 @ 4GHz 1.38v going over 70 but not reach 80 using ttbtvx too. I am not sure if E7200 is any hotter. from what i have seen online so far.... those e7200 seems to be hot... similar to xeon e3110 i wud say... but still havent read bout anyone proving that temp is correct or not |
