yea play pen or harness would be better as opposed to a collar & leash..

but with rabbits, we can't really leave them on their own. any random dog or cat could cause them harm, and these things happen in a flash.. best to stay near your rabbits

i'm pretty glad to have my own garden biggrin.gif well if the park is not crowded or pretty empty then that'll be better. at least you won't have to worry about other pets/animals.

the park is crowded sometimes.
most people bring their pets over their and walk with their pets.
i have hard time catching my rabbits out everytimes i let them out.
take me around 1 hours to catch them back into the home.

i saw some rabbits collar at the pet safari.
so i was wondering is it a good idea to get it.
actually i wan them to have bigger place to play with.
something like the can run really fast and jump very high.
my snowie like to do that. run very fast and then suddenly jump very high and make a twist in the air.
sometimes she bump into the door, and sometimes land on the floor with a *buk* sound.

i have to cover my fish pond to prevent them from terjun into the pond.

that's a binkie there! wink.gif my bambi oso did that the first few days after i got her. now that she's familiar with the garden she only does it sometimes lol. i remember she did 10m sprints back and forth too, was really amusing.

i like it when i saw them jump like very happy and having fun themselves.
but sometimes the way they play make me worry.
i scare they hurt themselves.
the jumping and the bumping and the spinning is cool.
but i scare they bump themselves so hard until got wound.
that's why i wan to bring them to park. in that case at least i don wan to worry that they will land on something hard.
furthermore, they maybe can have more fun in the park.

if its just a collar, like what dogs and cats wear, then IMHO better not get it.. rabbits' neck are very fragile, if the collar gets snagged on something, and the rabbit tries to pull away, it can break its neck.. better err on the side of caution, in my opinion

better to get a harness which does not go around the rabbit's neck, but instead, uses the chest as support. something like these:

U can't put a normal collar on a rabbit. Well, you can, but you can't put a leash onto a normal collar for a rabbit, due to their fragile bones.

What you need is the figure-8 harness, like those types used for putting small dogs on a leash. You stick their fore legs through the 2 loops of the figure 8, then buckle it up behind them. These gives far better support than putting a leash onto a neck collar.

my bunnies do the F1 around the living room too.. and because the floor is tiled, they skid when they take corners haha bumping into the wall sometimes, but nothing serious.. just minor bumps..

parks, i dunno.. i just imagine it to be crawling with parasites, waiting to jump on the next furry host that walks/hops by.. tongue.gif tongue.gif

thanks 11Jan and jaanu.
will try to look at those 2 places.
quite busy this few days and with the oil price hike,
i'm trying my very best not to go out if it is not required. hahaha.

now that you mention it, maybe i should ask opinion from those who let their bunnies to play in the park.
yeah, right. those dirt and mites might be a problem.
