I did not get my Kimi from Beh and can't comment much, but since he's a breeder I put up the contact there so those who are interested can give him a call...

But judging on the pictures taken from his farm. His rabbits are indeed have certain of quality that none can deny. But is always best you go there yourself and have a look. I'm sure he's more than happy to welcome you to his farm... smile.gif

Call him and talk to him, explain to him what you looking for...
*
just to add, the farm's over in Semenyih, so it might be a bit out of the way. If that's the case, you can try looking for Beh at Amcorp Mall during weekends, where he'll have a stand there. Should you still want to visit the farm after that, you can arrange with him on the spot then too.

he'll b there everyweek??

do u guyz know .. wad kinda breed of rabbit..
is alwayz small.. hardly grow big?
*
yup, he'll be there every weekend. Beh has got 3 type so far, Holland Lops, Netherland Dwarfs, and Dwarf Hotots. All r small sized rabbits, although he's only got Holland Lops for sale at the moment. From what I've seen at his farm, the Dwarf Hotots that he's got r the smallest sized ones.

teongpeng: sorry to hear of your loss. Any idea what the 4 injections given by the 2nd vet were? That sounds a bit alarming to me, considering that the rabbit is such a small animal, and 4 injections does seems like overkill to me.

I remembered somebody here (Jaswwp I think) had mentioned before that her rabbit wasnt able to move abouts for a few days after getting neutered, but was fine after that.

The 4 injections if i remember correctly,

1)vitamin C
2)some rehydration thingy
3)some fluid thats supposed to increase the rabbits metabolism (this may be the killer)
4)some stuff to help the rabbit flush out the aneastasia.

Anyways the vet (a former zoo doctor i thnk) who neutered the bunny already scold us for taking him to a regular clinic saying vets untrained in handling zoo animals will not know how to help rabbits. Guess we should have waited a few more hours.

however if given the choice between waiting not knowing wut to expect and sending him to any available vet....i think anybody would have choose to do the former. Oh well Pebbles is still alive....may not want to get another rabbit so soon.

coincidently, my first rabbit, Sam, died after visiting the dog vet too. sigh....
*
yeah, number 3) looks pretty bad, and 4) too, should the anesthesia be flushed out while the rabbit is still in pain. combination of 3) and 4) would likely result in the spasms and the blood shot eyes that was observed

now i'm afraid of vet cry.gif

well, knowing more about the background and specialization of the vet that you're going to may help if you feel uneasy about it all. Just ask if he's familiar with small animals, rabbits in particular.

the major problem with any form of surgery for rabbits is the same as for all small animals, which is their small size making it difficult to properly measure the right dosage of anesthetic to be used.

It would help if u can elaborate on what had happened to your previous rabbit, as most ppl will be rather apprehensive on letting somebody who had just 'lost' a rabbit adopt one of theirs just like that..

Guys, is it good to keep a pair of just let one rabbit alone?

a rabbit will be perfectly happy on its own, as long as you give it enough attention

In January, my 3 rabbits, I suspected got some sort of hair mite on them. My rabbits were slightly bald behind their neck, like near the base of the ears.... so I did ivermectin jabs on all of them. Now, all grow new fur. Now my funny short haired lionhead looks more like a lionhead now with her mane growing back. My mixed angora is doubling her fur coat till so fluffy. Solved my problem.
*
yeah, their hair do grow back. The going bald tends to be one of the biggest worries that ppl have when their rabbits gets mites. I posted a pic of my Snowball b4, a few days after getting the ivermectin jab at the vet, where his entire nose was purely pink! (and this is real noticeable too for a white furred rabbit). One week after that, there's already a thin layer of white fur covering back the nose.

If still blur how do you guys detect mites on rabbits. Even in my cats i still dunno how to search. Mind telling?
*
Not sure about for cats, but on rabbits, the symptom tends to be crusty scabs found on the skin under the fur. If left untreated, the scabs will grow larger and thicker, causing fur to fall off.

Most common places on rabbits will be the paws (near the claws), the ears, and nose, around the eyes.

Coco was grooming himself
Cute smile.gif And speaking of grooming, anybody managed to snap more of such grooming shots, where the rabbit/bunny pulls their ear down for cleaning? Pretty hard to shoot especially with the need to catch them in the act as well as them moving all the time.
