can sli 98GTX with 98GTX+?

If I remembered correctly, yes.... 9800GTX is just a 65nm ver of the 9800GTX+.... Everything is the same except the die shrunk....

Added on April 21, 2009, 12:02 amYup... Different brand no problem.... The best is same specs.... if one is OC ver and the other is reference, then the reference is the main card and the OC ver will be downclocked to the reference frequencies....

u can have different brand...different speed... AND different spec (clocks etc) and can still SLI...


important thing is that he core must be the same....

eg... XFX 8800GTS 320MB OC Edition + Asus 8800GTS 320MB (non OC edition) can SLI together.

Just wanted to update things, I'm looking for a new SLi mobo these past two weeks and I got my eye on M4N72-E which looks like a great board at around RM450. While I'm browsing around at LYP today, I stumbled upon how cheap Crosshair II have become, it dropped to RM539, I simply can't believe it since last month when I buy 2nd 9600GT for SLi the price is RM850! I asked the shopkeeper whether its a typo but it was not. Without thinking twice I bought it instead of M4N72-E, and my oh my, I'm not disappointed by it's performance and overclockability. The ROG logo, voltiminder L.E.D, and LCD POSTER is a nice touch on the mobo

Before this I can't play H.A.W.X using 8xAA because stuttering occur when heavy firefights, but now its smooth all the way! Overclocking is a bless too, I can run 400HTT plus 2000HT bus on X2 3800+ AM2 CPU

Bro, u hv to be careful with ur new mobo,coz from what i know it got a bit faulty. Just think logically, something i cant say much here. What i can say is becarefull peace n take gud care of ur new ASUS crosshair 2

Give some link to support your coment please. I've done thorough research before buying any mobo beforehand. At least please state what are the 'fault' you been refering to or I just call them pure hoax

i also just bought this board last two week ago , (asus crosshair formula 2 ) ,
so far so good i am using , just onli if wan to upgrade to phenom x4 need to flash the latest bios version....

im used asus crosshair fomula II,when i try to oc just can go 2.8 -3.2....if more than that blue screen come out went boot...i dont what the step should i do to get more....n one more thing i want find 98gtx coz i want make my computer to sli,anyone here can find for me ,i want xfx 98gtx n not 98gtx +......last one...is't 98gtx can sli with 98gtx+...coz i ask someone in low yat n he just say cant...plz help me..

Yes you can SLi 9800GTX with the GTX+, read here. Best thing to do is search there, in slizone forum, you'll get most of the answer there.

GTX275 SLI...for save way...you need a PSU with 4 PCI Connector

how about 3 sli?want PSU should i used?

3 way SLI minimum is 1000W.

If 3 Way SLi GTS250 then 750W above will be enough
