QUOTE(kianweic @ Jan 12 2008, 09:24 AM) It would seems interesting to find out more about SLI. can be done...the faster card will auto downlclock to the same speed as the slower card. How about this scenario: A Zotac Geforce 8800GT AMP and a MSI Geforce 8800GT? Because both card have different clockspeeds for both memory and core. Would it be possible to SLI those two cards? Cheers |

u need an ATI card as the 3rd card to be able to do SLI + dual monitors...else driver conflict or something like that.
u see ianho's siggy...his 3rd GC is a cheap cheap ATI card |

supposedly the 680i can support dual cores....its the quad cores that we have to bang balls about...
even then the dual cores have no guarantees oso |

QUOTE(lighter @ Jan 15 2008, 10:52 PM) general answer would be NO.techie answer would be possible if got hacked drivers....or if got striker extreme (n680i) with HP Blackbird BIOS. but since u ask a n00b question like that....it would be best for u to stick to NO for an answer. wait a minute.... i just remembered something...dunno correct or not...
for n680i mobo the SLI thingy is software based...hence u get the SLI option in the driver.. but for n650i its hardware based....so by right.... once u switch the card around..ur SLI should be enabled with or without the driver if im not mistaken la... how about u try running 3dmark05 with 2 cards.... then remove 1 card and run 3dmark05 again.... compare the marks... if ur 3dmark05 with dual cards is higher...that means u should be alright.... |

QUOTE(pyangaox @ Nov 2 2008, 05:29 PM) someone did try 7300GT SLi a long time ago... and compared it with a 7900GT..3dmark score it totally whooped the 7900GT... but when it comes to real world gaming performance.... 7300GT SLi was crap compared to the 7900GT. |
