I've let my FS fought quite often. Most of my FS didn't die and become stronger and fiercer in fights.
I let them spar with other weaker FS in their nest to boost the FS confidence.

My wife took my Camera for her buisness trip to Batam. So, no equipment at the moment for new fight clips. What a pity! An interesting fight went underway, worthy of a great FS fight video!

I was testing Darth Maul last evening, to check whether he has gotten his courage back. Pitted Dom (FS with normal fighting skill) against him. Darth Maul is only a wee-bit smaller as far as I can see.

Darth Maul saw Dom 1st, and put up the FS fighting stance (no more scary-cat), while Dom was checking out the overhead view, but did not noticed Darth Maul ahead (only 1 FS length ahead). Dom then leap over Darth Maul and landed a good distance away (5-6 FS length). Then he turn around and saw Dom, and put up his stance too. The two started arm pushing and chops, 1 ,2,3... I counted as many as 10 chops before Darth Maul runs way...all this in only 7 or 8 secs.

I will fight them again and record the fight when my camera is back and hopefully, they can put up a fight as interesting as this again.

Remember Reddy? I actually took it back. Unfortunately somehow it lost its arm but i still kept and fed it.
Today it changed skin.

The hatch date was unknown.. a span of 10 days from first saw as egg till when caught it. If taken arbitarily as 5 days, then the first moult would be around 3 weeks after hatching. As of today, i have kept a sling the longest, for 20 days. Hopefully to adult.

Make sure ur hand movement is slow. If the FS is hiding inside its nest, try to cut the leaves rear and bring out to open clear space to keep in case.
If the FS is walking around leaves, approach it slowly and try to cut the leaves slowly without make the FS scared and jump off. Den put it in a case at open area.

Riper is still in no mood to fight. He only just do some arm pushing and ran away. You don't want male FS for breeding purpose?

Celltel is the KING now. No other same size opponent to fight with.

Blackie, BlackSeth and Infinity show some improvement in their fights. Able to fight slightly longer than last time.

Btw, the pandan leaf FS should be great one.

Some of my FS have converted to chops already.
I think it takes about 2-3 weeks times.
BlackSeth is a fierce chop now. Blackie also same, shows chop symptoms but still not as fierce like BlackSeth.

This fight was really fast. Had to replay a couple of times and stopping halfway to see what was happening. BlackSeth chop first but got its arm bitten, but then turned around and counter with some chops that spilled Blackies blood. Which part of the body that was wounded?

Yeah very fast attack. Earlier i let BlackSeth fight Infinity and spar fs but not very fierce fight also.
I know Blackie defeated BlackSeth 2 days ago and should give BlackSeth some good fight. Didn't know BlackSeth will become very fierce when fight Blackie.

Blackie already saw Blackseth and rise both its arm to attack but BlackSeth chop attck is much faster. Its a direct hit
at Blackie and both FS turn around, Blackie managed to bite BlackSeth arm. BlackSeth strong chop attack forcing Blackie to move backwards and later Blackie got thrown upside down! 1st drop of blood spill out from Blackie's arm wound. Later Blackie counter chop at BlackSeth but was forced to spin chg position and thrown to the side. More blood spill out. Blackie injured badly and retreat.

After the fight, Blackie still bleeding and i can see a small round blood around its upper arm. I feed Blackie with drinks and fruit flies. Today i check, Blackie is back to normal already.
Its arm still normal position not bend/crooked.

how come ive never seen these spiders before??? lol, seems so common you can catch them, yet i've never seen one like that.

You didn't go search for the FS bfr at their habitat place of coz la.
Try to flip open some overlap leaves and check, maybe u can find a huge one.

I was trying to look for a FS that can match Damien's size, when I found this goliath jumping spider instead. Its really huge and I think it maybe the biggest species found in Singapore.

I can't find any detail of Goliath in the net. The nearest match is the Biting Jumping Spider from Australia, but the body length from that site stated 10mm. http://www.geocities.com/brisbane_spiders/...mpingSpider.htm

I measured just the bodylength of Goliath (minus the legs), its 13mm.

Its quite docile, and willing to explore my hands without any coaxing needed..

Caught 3 males after Goliath, at least 1 is approx same size as Damien, I thought. Turn out that new guy has a "weak heart", Faced any male or female FS also run....

Yeah, Raymond_Ng from SG Arofanatics forum looking for people to fight with his chop FS. Do msg him if u interested to test fight ur Damien with his FS.
He said no ppl want to fight FS with him and plan to release his FS soon.

Your Goliath spider looks huge especially Head, its legs also look muscular thick and big. I never saw before tat type of spider but i saw Spider Bandar (dunno wats it species name) huge size 50 sen malaysia coin size, its legs and arm much thinner than ur Goliath.

My FS Riper has become a full chop, very fierce and strike with fast chop attacks. Riper chop attack has shattered Celltell confident to fight.
I've released Infinity and spar fs yesterday because these 2 FS kecut and duwan't fight anymore alwys ran away. Caught 2 more new FS average size, Razer and GP.
Razer managed to bite BlackSeth till bleed during fight. Think maybe he got lucky when BlackSeth chop him.
Both these newcomers still lost to Riper.

Your Goblin chop attack style is different from Riper, Goblin rise both arm up high chop+grab its opponent.
Riper just ran close, arm straight facing front and chop. Riper didn't rise its arms high but its chop attack is fast.

Nowdays still cant find FS like Hope or Scorpio tat can deflect other FS chop attack so well.

Hi Viper.

Lately I was quite busy, and no I have not recorded any new FS fight. I have seen Raymond's post, and he has already released his FS.

Something I noticed about Thiania bhamoensis. Majority that I kept, shy away from prey almost the same size, or slightly larger than them. e.g. a common housefly (Musca domestica). Hyllus Diardi, Telamonia festiva, Plexippus paykulli, has more courage when it comes to hunting prey. I can feed grasshoppers, houseflies & Moths at least 1/3 sized larger than them without any problem.

I fed Goliath with the medium sized green grasshopper. Its has a very strong jump, you can really feel the impact when it landed on your hand after a leap. I'll try to record the video of itself facing off against it's mirror image.

I also caught two Viciria praemandibularis, 1 male & 1 female. They are pretty impressive when it comes to feeding on moths. Both male and females, remove the wings of the moths during feeding. The Moths becomes 5 pieces in the morning, 4 wings, 1 body.

Ripper is a good fighter, maybe you can find some females, let them consumate, then release the females somewhere you can locate back later to find its offspring?

I have let Damien, and Marauder (yes, he also can mate) done that, and released the females to my garden. 2 females each so far. Life is short for them, mate them with more females while they still can.

Last time i used to feed my FS with ants, baby grasshoppers, small spider besi/bandar etcs to my fs.
Now i only feed with fruit flies, small/medium size house flies. Not easy to find baby grasshopper.. maybe i lazy go find.

Riper and BlackSeth has become full chop. Both alwys direct chop at the start of the fight.
These 2 FS alwys dominate other FS in fights, no challenges from other FS. Only Celltel might beat BlackSeth due to size but i decided not to let them fight coz size difference.
