QUOTE(lipton tea @ Nov 21 2011, 07:26 PM) on the subject of ptptn, my friends and i were having a meal the other day and they shared their experiences with me, guess what.......one already graduated like 4 years ago and til now havent paid a single cent! He did get some warning letter and stuff and he still did nothing about it.....furthermore, he just came back from a trip overseas last week and was not blacklisted! Then my 2 other friends added that they have yet to make any payment as well since they graduated like 3 years and 2 1/2 years ago respectively. I asked them why they have yet to pay a single cent since they're all working and have really stable jobs. They also say that they do not have any financial burdens or commitments. Plus, they also received some letters like warning and final warning and reminders and stuff... Do you think PTPTN is too lenient? better ask ur friends to get paying before its too late and get a court letter from them. please ask them to pay so the future lenders can get their loan.

They will not pay lah. As long they are not summoned they will live another day to tell how they escaped from paying a single sen back to PTPTN. Sad to say but these people are usually egoistic. Always have the mentality that PTPTN is duit rakyat. Why should pay back?

Do you think PTPTN is too lenient? they will still charge 3% pa on outstanding loan. so the longer he hold the loan, the more he lose. unless he is currently keeping his money in some sort of investment giving more than 3% return.

If I not mistaken if you take the 1% that means payment will be from your potongan gaji. That is the catch that many fall too.

I prefer pay as you wish method as I'm planning to settle early...but if I'm not mistaken somebody in here said can change it, not sure can or not but the agreement clearly stated potongan gaji...that's why I said they want to ikat you every month with commitment...no wonder they ask LHDN to help, can blacklist you anytime though

But this is make things more complex. What if I change job? The 1% is base on total repayment period. So if i pay more will the interest lesser? This calculation is base like car loan or housing loan? Lastly how they calculate the 4% intereste? base on monthly or yearly? Thank you

QUOTE(hyzam1212 @ Nov 22 2011, 08:37 AM) Maybe they are bz chasing the more than ten years graduated havent paid a cent category I guess... I think its not bcoz of leniency, its the mentality of thinking of paying PTPTn is a burden eventhough its only less than 100rm/month...I dont get it student nowadays, ignoring your commitment after graduated, it will get tougher if you have a family in the future...if you borrow from bank for sure will be blacklisted straight away Lol if the parents did not pay they are going to have difficulties getting their son/daughter getting PTPTN as well.

QUOTE(soulzerowen @ Nov 29 2011, 11:34 AM) THE NO . PINJAMAN TAKE FROM WHERE? I DOESN'T HAVE No pinjaman is your IC number. The pin you need to call or sms to PTPTN for it. I was so interested to get the 1%, until I saw that it involves employer deduction. I prefer a flexible repayment so I stuck with the 3%. I need cash flow now, but I have every intention of finishing it as early as possible once my cash flow problems are resolved.

PTPTN payment deduction from pay have not been implemented and PTPTN doesn't know when will this be implemented. 1% will still be in effect just that the auto employer deduction system is not up so current payments still go through EFES. Technically, change of jobs = inform PTPTN.

mmm, the 1% is base on fix period. 3% is not big, but if u dun repay interest will higher. By the time u pay, is only u paying the interest instead the principal. I think i will opt for standard 3%. I can choose pay quarterly in lum sum. At least it won't effect my cash flow.

just to share that, i took the 1% agreement. my company dun do auto deduction --> so ptptn dun do verification in this. as long as they see the forms completed, they'll process n approve. i changed job 6mths ago, never inform ptptn, never payback for 6 mths --> still enjoying the 1%. i still enjoy my cash flow n pay annualy at lump sum instead of mthly with the 1%, monthly i save rm30 on the interest. base on my case, 1% do suits me

I guess you are very lucky, didn't expect it before the implementation...not surprising of them of not having a proper system at the first place...I think by getting LHDn to assist, they are preparing an efficient system to be implemented in the near future ala income tax form...Just enjoy the savings while you can
