yea recording that time seems a bit lag... but my playback is still a little slow..

I tried 2 types of video recording.

1. the camera is still and i move some objects; for example: my hand.. the quality and FPS is not too bad..

2. try to rotate the camera to left and right... this is the worst part... when the video is playing, it's a lil' lag and frame drop..

try for yourself... dang.. seems like my phone has all the bad issue..  shakehead.gif

I think I know wat u mean liao ... While recording I tried to tilt here and there and zoom in full and zoom out. The video playback was fine a few seconds then it began to lag and the voice totally went off. shocking.gif
Can someone else test this, just to make sure is it's not generic problem for all N82? Thx rolleyes.gif

Edit: I try a 3 min+ recording of a movie, then playback to see if there is any lipsync-ing prob. Just once a while the video blanked and short video delay then it's back to normal. I guess it's bcoz of the slow memory card. Need to try on a SDHC to see if it's better rolleyes.gif

well... i didn't do any zooming... just normal rotating left and right, slow and fast.

I didn't notice any slow mo like Neo dodging bullets..

For example, supposingly an object moving from left -> middle -> right... but when frame rate drops it will become left --> suddenly to right...

I hope you guys understand what i mean...

sigh... i really like this phone with xenon flash... but all these happened made me no mood with this phone already sad.gif

might join the N95 8GB family....

edit: just tried zooming... this and that... sound still there.... donno what happened to Wahahaha's phone

Ok I uploaded the video file..

here's the link http://rapidshare.com/files/88110169/02012007004.mp4.html

My video recording setting is
-TV High quality
-stable on
-audio recording on
-memory in use => phone memory

now.. you guys tell me is this video laggy or not.. or i'm just expecting too much from this phone?

i spotted the lag around 0:15 to 0:16 sec of the video while playing using computer.. the lag is more obvious when i'm turning the camera slowly.. if i play this video on my phone, more lag here and there.. u can try to put this video into your phone.

My N95 8GB is doing the same thing, it's not very smooth and it looks like those old LCD which has low respond rate. Video shooting with 5MP family has no match with Viewty, sad but true. But definitely not lag until audio out of sync.

Keep your shiny xenon flash lar, don't waste too much money on electronic gadgets. wink.gif

Woah... good quality... well.. given that I'm used to 10-15fps CIF video recording... this is GOOD biggrin.gif

Added on February 1, 2008, 9:59 ammy guess it is MP4 encoding issues. When I was using the Samsung E720 and the video recording was in MP4 also at 20fps, same issue happens. Surprisingly my K810 with modded camera driver to record at 25fps and in 3GP format, it doesn't happen... but quality sucks big time.

I am sad to say, that yes all three N95, N95 8GB and N82 are all recording at 30fps.

If u want a phone that has good video quality its LG Viewty. 120fps. But there are a lot of other drawbacks in it. No GPS. Not a smartphone. Not Symbian or Windows CE. It is only Java based.

Considering all aspect of the phones (not only video), IMHO the three Nokias are still the best choice available. Its a matter of preference which of the three to choose. At least we are symbian, we can find nice applications that are symbian based.

Dont worry cheelong, we all made the rite decission. It is just that u were maybe dissapointed with the display screen yourself then u find out this and that. Stay cool...

dont worry it happens once in a while, especially if u try to move quickly from a dim area to a brighter area or vice versa, the recording seems to be sluggish at the point where the camera try to auto adjust the brightness according to the environment lighting. if it's bright everywhere i dont think it'll happen.

Could the lagging due to software issue? Bug? I would wait for the new release. biggrin.gif

and as the environment gets darker, the camera allows for more light in, which makes FPS drops... well at least I observe this on Samsung mobile and K810 even though for the K810 it is not much

he moved to n95, said that n82 is VERY unstable at the moment.

Sorry to said that i would suggest u to get N82 or N95 8GB for faster processor speed, with larger RAM....
Unstable? How unstable is N82? U can ask our N82 owners here see whether is stable anot.. smile.gif

Between N82 or N95 (classic), there's virtually no reason to not get N82, although screen smaller but there're quite a lot of things better than N95.

If you really want N95, get the 8GB version, big screen is good...
