my cpu cannot gain any stability over 3.4.... any other push will prime fail...
cannot boot to 3.5 but pc also shut down.... must be heatsink cannot tahan sudden peak of temp...
i think b1 and b2 is da same cpu... only b2 can clock higher only...
the cpu cache latency for both is same speed....

maybe its time to go for watercooling?? following AoiNatsume steps??
i thought got improvement for the later proc?? inaccurated temp readings solved??

wait i rich 1st hehe...
black edition temp reading is also wrong from what i know =X
but someone manage to clock it to 3.4 ... i dunno that is stable clock or not =X

Dunno about temp, but the power consumption is drool.gif
When both are at 3Ghz, a Brisbane G2 takes about half the power of a Windsor (less than 80W). Use stock heatsink also can overclock quite high for G2. Only one downside, must overclock 0.1Ghz more than Windsor to match Windsor's performance.

no doubt G2 got better clockspeed than G1. but without proper temp reading, make me feels worried all the time..laugh.gif
can using old timer method, by touching the heatsink. but for me its kinda hassle... sweat.gif

power consumption for G2 sure lower. yeah, due to longer latency (correct me if i'm wrong), have to oc it 0.1ghz higher to match windsor...

the latency is more giving it to clock more higher....
same as ram latency... u may see why ddr3 latency so high with higher mhz...
it is due to 65nm technologies...
more smaller capacitor less heat...

HTT 314? Orthos ? no idea as i never test that b4 for ur proc notworthy.gif
only test stability of those proc with Pi 1M smile.gif

Just read one review for intel Dual Core and Quad Core Q66.
Forgot what the model for Dual Core laugh.gif

For Quad Core, it take almost double power consumption as Dual Core. sweat.gif

I think the same goes to Phenom smile.gif Not sure though. Hehe
If want to go Quad, prepare money for electric bill as well. Hahahahah

my statement b4 correct what..i mean the diff performance between the brisbane and windsor is caused by the latency.have to clock 0.1ghz higher for brisbane.
with smaller caps, does that means more caps can be stuffed inside the die?? means the size smaller, but the total caps used increased??

aiyoyo...it's transistor , not capacitor laugh.gif

for k8 am2 proc

number of transistors

90nm: 164 to 243 million (depending on cache size)
65nm: 221 million

Guys,im still in doubt about Intel Dual Core versus AMD Dual Core.

Actually,which is better?

E2160 or X2 3800F3
OR
E6320 or X3 6400.

For phonom 9500 and 9600, they are rated as 95w
C2Q power consumption is doubled maybe becoz they just simply combine two dual core together then gao thim laugh.gif
while phenom is native quad core processor brows.gif

E2160 or X2 3800F3 = definately 3800 F3, why? personal experience, heck i even prefer the F3 over E4300, despite benchmarking results, in real world windows environment i feel that the f3 is way more responsive and my apps loads much faster.
