QUOTE(rsangel @ Feb 27 2008, 08:40 PM) Well 88GT 256 is for 17~19inche user with a decent FPS on gaming. it depends on users demand... im using 512mb top edition with 19" as in my signature, but some of the games still have lags such as GoW,CoH:OP, WiC and especially Crysis when it comes to AA .... i always play in native res which is 1440x900...

Yeah! 8800 GT still worth it today. But i was shocked when saw the performance of 9600 GT, i was expecting 8800 GT to pawn 9600 GT kao kao. Mana tahu, it performs really well. Wondering how's the performance for the next gen high end card Edited: Typo This post has been edited by Axuel: Feb 28 2008, 04:08 PM

9600 came a long way...
and i read it on the box of zotac 9600 that its performance is 90% above a 8600GT so imagine that.. 90%
for people under budget and could not afford 8800GT... 9600Gt will be the way to go!!

Getting Started

|
Bros...i am using a XFX 9600GT XT version. Planning to upgrade to a XFX 8800GT Alpha Dog XT version. Both is 512mb..but i have to fork up almost another RM300. But if the perfomance worth it ah ( price vs, Perfomance ratio) ? Will there be a big difference? I play games at 1024x reso cuzz using a crt 17'' monitor only. How ah? Damn confuse should i just keep the RM300 or get the 8800. Hope for a swift reply...cuzz changing tomorrow d if getting the 8800gt. Thanks bro!

Thanks bro! try to be objective in your decision. what games do you currently play? if you're getting the highest graphical settings at a consistently high frame rate (anything above 30fps average is good) then you don't need to upgrade. unless you're into benchmarking, if so the more you spend, the higher the score. but considering you're only playing on a 17", save your money for the 98xx if you really want to upgrade.
