Dont be so rush, a course decides your future.
Ask yourself.

Have you research this course properlly?
Have you conducted background research of this course?
Have you entered F&B line before? Do you like it?

My recommend is try this field in any restaurant and see whether you like it or not?

If you have research and tried F&B line before, what i will suggest is try and see the facilities by your own. Remember you are paying > RM 10k for these courses be sure to check properly .

Personally i have screen SUNWAY and Taylors my self, i felt Taylors is more well furnish than SUNWAY. You can check out KDU also, they are 1 of the top in Culinary too.

Cheers

The last time i visited Sunway is 5 years ago, i think for facilities wise They should have improve, because 5 years back they have not tie with LCB, so now LCB came in their facilities should improve better.

Im a Taylorian, facilities wise, they have decent facilities, What you want is there, Combi Oven, Salamander , Blast Chiller, Blast Freezer, Vacuum Pack Machine, Big Scale Mixer, Pastry Roller ( for Croissant). Basically they have everything for you. It also depends on you la to have the time/courage to stood up and use the facilities.

Go and review every college dont just sit infront of PC get opinion from ppl, feel it your self. which is the best Uni you want to go in.

Personally 5 years back i took Taylors is because i saw the facilities, equipments, and etc is well available. but of course the $$$$ is far more than other colleges

1st of all

really love working in hotel ? serving customers everyday?

to be frank. a cert in hotel is useless. 99% of the subjects u study in so called hotel management also useless.

don waste ur money to study hotel management~~ better save the money... straight work in hotel (whichever dept u like ) and start gaining experience.

btw which dept u would like to join in hotel ? my current hotel has few openings if u would like to try whistling.gif

TBH... at the end of the day, it's not about which college you come from but the person you are. Whether you truly enjoy working as a chef and continue improving yourself. I came from Nilai College and it's an okay place. Studying's always gonna be more fun than working. You could probably consider Cilantro too actually. Perhaps you should consider working first before enrolling yourselves into a college. I know I would've done that if I could reverse time. Please don't use tv shows to decide that you wanna be a chef, it's a MUCH bigger picture than that. Believe me, being a chef isn't just about cooking. It's a tough lifestyle, often merciless. Not that I wanna scare you but yeah, reality's f*cked up. So you think for yourself, is this what you wanna do for the rest of your life? Don't be surprised but you're not exactly gonna learn much in college and you will still have to start from the bottom when you begin working in the kitchen.

Thanks for replying me tongue.gif . I intend to study in diploma in Tourism and degree in Hospitality Management (Sunway) and My twin sister will study Diploma and Degree International Hotel (KDU Damansara)

Well , I'm international student and in my country , many hotels require students to have Diploma or Degree and at least one year experience so I guess after graduating , I will come back to my country and apply for a job . I know it is hard to get a job but I will try my best ^^ .

What do you mean about * don't waste money studing hotel management * . I know experience is very important but I suppose I have a basic knowledge about Hotel and Tourism Management , right ?? .

Do you have your own hotel ?? It is great rclxms.gif laugh.gif . What it name ? And Where is it locate ? Maybe , next year ,
when i'm studying in Malaysia , I will visit your hotel biggrin.gif

Best if you just pay a visit to Nilai, I've left that place for over 2 years already. They've changed the syllabus already. And I dont know about those courses you'd like to study.
