Ala, tak adil, fylon uses Pentium 4 3.2E.
I'm using Pentium 4 3.0E mah. laugh.gif

I used 1.45Volts to overclock my 3.0E to 4GHz.
I still remember that.

Stable all the way for Orthos 24 Hours, 3Dmark01, 3Dmark03 smile.gif
However, do take note that at that time, i'm using ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe & ASUS P4P800-E-Deluxe which is the highest end motherboard for Intel Socket 478 processors.

I love those boards. wub.gif

About the same la,just the multiplier is not the same. Between,you shouldn't sell off your mobo and proc last time.If not you are still able to contribute here with demo.

Wah.. 20mins dint refresh.. Once refresh the post is flooded. sweat.gif

@Sang
Try loosen ur timing again. 2.5-3-3-7 might be too tight for ur ram to take it. Try make it as 3-3-3-8 and try again. It might havent crash the wall. Just ram timing might be the concern. Haha.. Dont need join 4G club, but join FSB250 above club. laugh.gif Loosen ur ram timing, pump vidimm to 2.75 and try again.

Anyways sang, from ur screenie i notice that ur running some other program at background such like ur AVG and yahoo messenger. biggrin.gif Try off all the program and run PI score again. I bet it will decrease the time.

@Ray
Yea.. Sang result wil be better then mine alot if he could reach 4G. As he will need FSB 260 above to get 4G i bet the result might will hit 32s for 1M pi score.

@sHawTY
Aloha boss! Haha.. Yea! I was using 3.2E to hit 4G.. So still not that good.. Maybe u can put ya hope on sang_karim, he was on the way to 4G.. Might be can break my record. brows.gif Yea.. We only use P4P800SE to OC nia.. Ur using high end board to make that while we only use the normal board.. sad.gif So sad i burnt my P4P800 Deluxe!

haha ... no 4Ghz for me ... here the situation :

vcore = 1.5v
vdimm = 2.75v
vagp = 1.6v
ram timing = 3-4-4-8

windows hang at FSB = 256MHz .. i geuss it's not the vdimm ... vcore almost max = 1.525V .... one conclusion, oredi hit the wall ... sweat.gif

I just found that my proc need 1.5v vcore to stable in certain task such like file compressing. sweat.gif

i don think it's about the ram ... 2.85V gonna void the ram warranty if sumthing bad happen .. so i wouldn't dare to risk that .. sweat.gif 1.5V need to stable ur proc .... u really need that high CFM fan la dude ... sweat.gif

Haha.. Yea! 1.5v needed to some do application. But just for testing purpose. I wont stick to 4G all the time as well. laugh.gif Normal usage, 3.6G is more the enough.

By then, the ur game isnt finish yet.. brows.gif Tried with 5:4 timing yet? Maybe 1:1 ratio will hang u at 255fsb but 5:4 might able to push ur proc higher without depend so much on the ram.

5:4 @ 250 @ 1.45V @ 2.75V @ 3500Mhz ( my 2.8E )
what i can do so far , so good smile.gif

i would like to see you get pass 4GHz with 5:4. like last time you tried 5:4 also quite impressive. i believe at 4.2 it will out perform your current speed. dont forget ca you run at very tight timing as the ram is not running at high speed.

have you read through the link i post before?? they are using 5:4 to get 4.4GHz!! the superPI is 30s!!!!

read this...post #78

Haha... The 1st day of new thread had reached 4page. Spirit is burning high now. biggrin.gif

@Sang

Yea.. If u wanna break 4Gh, maybe u can change ur ram ratio to slightly lower abit. As kabu say, when u change the ratio, the system wont be not so depend on the ram, thus u can tighten ur ram timing. Might can hit 32s for 1M PI eh!

@Albert

Is that ur result before? 4.4Gh on Prescott? shocking.gif

@Kabu

The 4.5Gh is kinda scary.. SL7E5 3.2E??? Thats my proc.. drool.gif No wander can get high speed as long as got enough vcore.. Guess im owning a gem on hand! By then, their ambient temp kinda impressive. Maybe i think they did the OC on winter seasson. 30++'c...

@herojack41
Mobo, proc & ram details? I thought i had write a guide in V4 about how to OC? Im too lazy to write again. Got time view back the old thread.

@Sang
Yea.. I think if u run on 5:4 divider u maybe can hit high speed. I wanna try mine as well. Maybe 4.2Gh.. drool.gif
