Currently were using 3 fan. But all are silent fan. laugh.gif So can say the noise level are quite low, unless at mid night time then can listen the noise. But not really a matter for me. biggrin.gif

@redundant,

typhoon VX i recall should have a fan controller, not sure about the non-VX. anyway, the speed can be controlled by mobo if plugged to the onboard 3pin power connector, so no big issue on the noise. as for 3x80mm, no problem for me too because like fylon says, we are using silent fans. my rig have 1x120mm and 3x80mm case fans, plus 120mm Zalman CPU heatsink fan and one Zalman VGA heatsink (both silent using fan controller), and not forgetting another 120mm in the PSU.

Even with the many fans that maximises airflow for my casing, the sound is not an issue due to silent fans and fan controller. cheers.

don't do it bro, u might kill your card. the ram timings and core revision from the newer bios might be different from your current gc in hand. shakehead.gif

Just back from nliting and testing the new DIY window CD. laugh.gif Make a step further now. Learned how to integrate hot fix an remove some of the windows component. rclxm9.gif

@Redundant
Hm.. My BT was using low RPM fan. So the fan noise wasnt that obvious. Like just Edmin says,we all are using silent fan so noise wasn a problem. Btw, i saw the powah of Vizo before. High performance but the noise really.. sweat.gif

@Edmin
Yea.. Now is 10 post more then V6 is coming. tongue.gif Btw, i might not be around so whenever the post is reach 2500.. So anyone who hit that 2500 please open a new thread. biggrin.gif

@sang_karim
Man.. The bios that u find izit the modded version? 200mhz to 300mhz is a way too much. Since now it doesnt make u any problem so just let it be.

"if it ain't broke, don't fix it" <-- 2nd that!

Lol.. Hm.. Driver? Are u using the one that comes together with the CD? U can go to ATI side to download the latest driver. New driver usually give better performance. Haha.. But for me, ATI card usually i will use 3rd party driver. although it just the .inf been modded but in some case it does better then official driver.

@sang karim,
i recommend u download basic ATI drivers without catalyst, latest version is 8.2.

then, download ati tray tools by ray adams for full control of driver configurations and tweaks.

these two combo works best without taxing resources, unlike the CCC from ATI package. rocks...

when u r at the download page, just click on drivers only link, the package should be around 10MB+ instead of 30MB. That's the driver without software package.

CCC=Catalyst Control Center. If u used nvidia cards before, u will get to see the nvidia control panel. COnsider the CCC as the ATI driver control panel. It requires .NET Framework to run and the software is skinned with basic Windows Blind, therefore sometimes it consumes resources more than neccessary. I never like to install the CCC.

@fylon,finally i'm back. I was quite busy for these few days hence didn't make any post here. The V1 thread is already no longer available in server. cool.gif

@sang,your 9600 pro is the real pro or not the real pro? If not the real pro the memory will be only operating at 400MHz...But i guess if want to o/c to 500MHz (DDR) is still capable to do so.

@sang,i guess yours is not the real pro.The core comes with 400MHz and memory also with 400MHz(DDR). You can always use the ATI tools to o/c it,easy step. But don't forget to unlock the o/c for your card first,else artifacts will be coming out.
