So this break go play with the card and change the cooler, pretty impressive compare to the previous cooler. do u know fylon oredi hit 4GHz? So is there any OC attempt by the sc478 members? Havent been login since the past week coz at home no internet, now surfing from CC. |

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 16 2007, 04:24 PM) @sang_karim ur nb is hotter than ur cpu aaa?? i dunno how mine cooled down but normally it's around 38C - 41C ... maybe my air flow in casing better than urs kot? as your hfs almost like mine, so just want to ask. as my northbridge is hotter than my cpu, so think of a way to cool it down. |

guys ...i think mine can't reach 4Ghz la .. maybe need some extreme cooling and tweaking to reach that ... highest can go is 3.8GHz but not run any stability test ... here my setting ...
Vcore = 1.475V Vdimm = 2.75V Vagp = 1.6V FSB = 255MHz can't load windows ..will hang ... here the screenie ... ![]() FSB = 254MHz with 2.5-3-3-7 timing ... i think oredi hit da wall la ... |

@kabukiawie
oredi set to 3-4-4-8 at 255MHz but stuck .... that's i'm tighten the timing at 254MHz .... btw have google and found that the highest vcore for prescott is 1.525V ... gonna pump sum juice more ... |

haha ... no 4Ghz for me ... here the situation :
vcore = 1.5v vdimm = 2.75v vagp = 1.6v ram timing = 3-4-4-8 windows hang at FSB = 256MHz .. i geuss it's not the vdimm ... vcore almost max = 1.525V .... one conclusion, oredi hit the wall ... |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 17 2007, 12:16 AM) Woh? I was now typing this reply with 4G and also use the same setting as urs! i don think it's about the ram ... 2.85V gonna void the ram warranty if sumthing bad happen .. so i wouldn't dare to risk that .. I just found that my proc need 1.5v vcore to stable in certain task such like file compressing. |

Guys ... try to reach 4GHz with 5:4 divider isn't as easy as i thought ..
Vcore : 1.5V Vdimm : 2.75V Vagp : 1.6V Ram timing : 3-4-4-8 Results with 5:4 divider - Windows restart Result with 1:1 divider - Windows can start normally I'm wondering why that 5:4 divider can't boot normally .... @fylon have u ever try 4:5 divider ? coz ur ram have plenty room to oc, i think u should give a try ... i'm done ... i think my proc hit the wall oredi .. can boot normally at FSB = 255MHz (3.84GHz) .. beyond that will hang after loading windows
Vcore : 1.5V Vdimm : 2.65V Vagp : 1.6V Ram timing = Auto Now running dailly with 3.6Ghz with 2.5-3-3-5 timing .... fylon, u r the man rite now .... |

QUOTE(kabukiawie @ Nov 18 2007, 11:18 PM) maybe thats true. raymond, your ram just pass a message to me. "DONT UNDERESTIMATE ME!!! I CAN RUN AT TIGHT TIMING~~~" oredi tried with 5:4 divider .. that was the result i got ... i thought i can easily reach 4Ghz with 5:4 but i'm wrong .... set vcore, vdimm , ram timing at auto and vagp at 1.6V incase needed for stability but only manage to boot windows normally at FSB = 255Mhz (3.84Ghz) only ... almost the same with 1:1 divider which can boot at FSB = 254Mhz only ... so my conclusion is the proc hit the wall oredi .... wahahahaha.....mine last time have face this problem, running at cas3 dont boot at all, at least must run at cas2.5 or cas2. that time was running at speed below stock speed. once get over 200mhz, then running at cas3 no problem. but also quite useless, cant even get pass trought 230mhz. @sang_karim you try run it at 5:4, i think you should get higher. since you can get near to 3.8GHz 1:1, i believe get pass 4GHz with 5:4 is not a hard work. at 4ghz you can run at 2-x-x-x timing. |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 18 2007, 11:45 PM) Wah... 1 hrs dint refresh thread is flooded. dude .. not 5:4 la .. 4:5 one ... @sang_karim Haha.. I never tried with 5:4 before as i can hit 4G with 1:1 ratio i think it should be enough for me. As for the timing 2.5-3-3-6 @ 4G i gain around 7k bandwidth for my system. |
