Yes
You just need to talk to your RM
You do not need to go to Singapore
Your passport need to be valid

I managed to open CIMB Sg without passport

Curious. Since you got HSBC SG account, why you need a CIMB SG account?

Good question

There are reasons why I have 2 SG account

1. To diversify

2. To avoid putting all my money in one basket

3. To transfer money in between SG bank account to avoid dormant or inactive account

Interesting about the Bank Rakyat premier banking tiers.

Having a credit card with limit above RM 250k entitles one to the top tier of the premier banking apparently.

I am interested with UOB Privilege Banking Card
But the annual fee is RM 600
Hopefully can negotiate with RM to waive it if I can maintain AUM

I believe only Standard Chartered Priority, Citigold, HSBC Premier, Maybank, CIMB Preferred and Public Red Carpet are recognised internationally

what is the benefit of being recognized internationally?

Not such thing as the best as money talks 🤦‍♀️

If got bigger AUM any banks will start chasing and enticing you for so called benefits

hmm, you mean the more money we have, the better service they give, maybe but this is a unfair practice and those who qualified the bare minimum also deserve good service, that's why the question which one is better or best

Is Privilege Banking the Maybank version of this? Any information of the asset base needed to qualify, and if it is worth pursuing if you already meet the threshold?

Service standard is the same no matter what 🤦‍♀️

The only difference is the priority and extra benefits that you get when reach those levels

It is not unfair practice when the main goals from banks is to squeeze you as much profits as possible as the main goals is to return shareholders as much as possible in dividends 🤦‍♀️

That is why when you got more money you get better client servicing like dedicated RM and lower rates for any loans

The eligibility criteria is AUM ($ parked with the bank management). This mail open up old ego sakit wound le.

All the years, they no-hue Unker account, no offer credit card oso. I always suspect must be my pagoda shirt n shorts...bank could have set min outlook/appearance std.

Likewise, Auntie account, oso no-hue. But by my std, Auntie always dressed well one le....so i conclude, likely ASNB $ doesnt apply.

after enquiring, NO, asm is not counted under Maybank investment, but your ASM surely is a respectable sum!

You drive a Ferrari then confirm they will ignore your outlook/appearance 🤦‍♀️

Some banks are really stuck up no thanks to their staff

In fact most rich ppl especially billionaire dress very prudently hence which is why they are richer unlike the middle class on chase on designer brands and appearance 🤦‍♀️

You dress to be comfortable not to impress the poor

uncle... it is maybe a blessing in disguise that they boh hue you.... else ur ASN amount will NOT that be that size, but you end up with a lot of structured investment into klibor with notional value of that amount but earning zero interest now...

RMs have target to meet and your RM is actually doing you a service by ignoring you.
