revisiting old threads.
which bank gives the best benefits for their privy customers?

seems like besides so called beating the queues, and maybe got PB parking spots, hardly any other benefits at all.
*
You could always upgrade to private banking for better benefits.

According to a wealth report, less than 0.5% of adults in this country has over us$1m net worth. To be a private bank customers, one need to have minimum us$1m liquid assets with the bank. Those who has this liquidity tend to diversify their risks. Many foreign banks could offer their private bank service offshore.

After 1mdb dabacle, some foreign bank will reject account opening if the account holder is or has immediate family holding high position in the government.

showtime747 like to correct above or add more on private bank?

At HSBC Hong Kong, USD1 million will only qualify you for Jade by HSBC Premier which still falls under HSBC Premier service. Likewise, at Citibank USD1 million will also only qualify you for Citigold Private Client which also falls under Citibank Citigold service.

Rm assigned, attention given and investment options available is different. These rm have a team of assistant working for them and access to wider research report.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government and Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) will continue to organise educational programmes, with the assistance of government and private agencies, on financial literacy and sound financial management, as only 6% of Malaysians have sufficient savings to last six months, said Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Othman Aziz.

http://www.theedgemarkets.com/my/article/o...last-six-months

Believe the 6% mean priority banking customers.

Out of curiousity, which banks have the hottest female relationship managers in Priority Banking?

Ever heard of RMs who are willing to go the "extra mile"?
*
Except novice, rm have seen enough people with $, won't be impressed with people only qualified for priority banking unless one could spend 5 or 6 digits sum on gifts first time and every time. Beside, their basic salary is reasonable and need not to go extra mile.

It is Premier Wealth 2H2017 Market Talk: Riding the Wave of Opportunities on 12 August. I think is quite a general event for Maybank Premier Wealth customers as you can see it in the Maybank Wealth App.
Perhaps we should start a thread on Private Banking's privileges to inspire others like me & bbgoat to reach that level also?

Proper private banking aum is usd 3m. most if not all uhnwi don't care much about freebie and avoid mingle with wannabe.

according to a wealth report; only about 0.2% of adult in the kangkong land has over us$1m net worth.

Just a random question, since this thread is mainly about priority bankings, what about private bankings? Anyone here knows or experience any of it, or actually if it's a different thing all together lol lol #NoobHere?

I wonder how much they differ from the usual Priority Bankings? Just some food for thought.

These are what I've lightly googled about:

Maybank Private Wealth
Eligibility  "USD1 million in Investable Assets with Maybank"

CIMB Private Banking/Private Wealth?
Eligibility "Not sure MYR 1M I think?"
*
Ang pow packet is different. RM is more experienced, smarter and attentive, will meet for coffee/lunch outside. Invited dinner is served not buffet. Instead of selling u.t and products; advisory, research and investment options from investment bank.

To those have over us$1m investable assets, most privilege accorded is affordable, within reach and nothing special.

Actually ntg much to study on, just understand the risk rating of each bond against your appetite, plus the return that you get for each bond. With respect to yr risk appetite, thats up to each preference as there are many corporates in Malaysia , some large ones but you havent heard before and some more popular ones.

There are good names like CIMB, Ecoworld, MahSing, Sarawak Energy etc to be considered.

I think it is possible, but depending on your loan type
For those flexi loan, where we are free to top up / withdraw from your CA anytime
Your money parked at CA should entitle you priority banking status
Kill two birds with one stone
*
If one's aum qualified for priority banking, need of flexi loan/ca is unnecessary.

Pb is a segregation for bank to milk high net worth customers, unlikely to permit free rider.
