Streamyx i call streamyx technical help today, guess wat i get

i call because i apply upgrade for few days already but nothing reply from tmnet...
i check the speed and it's around 3XXk...
which are 70% of 512k.....

1st time i call: " account encik sudah upgrade la. Sudah upgrade ke 1.5M! Ia tulis 1M tapi speed adalah 1.5M."

test immedially with speedtest.net and tmnet speedometer...
result: same as ussual, even cant reach 512k speed.

2nd time i call: " saya suday check kat computer account encik sudah upgrade ke 1M daripada 512k."

then i ask whether need to restart router or not that person say need.
so i go and restart my router...
result: even worst, lower than 300k...

3rd time: " memang sudah upgrade la, mungkin adalah slow connection... encik sekarang ada pc kat sana? kalau ada encik buat seperti ni. click "start", "run", "type cmd" summore ask me to type ipconfig to check ping and change DNS server in LAN properties...)^($#^*@#_%@(^@
result: -lazy type

4th time a gal answer my call, ask me go check ping again. i say can just report and say something error with my package with louder voice. she ask me wait...
i really.. really... listen to those lame streamyx promotion and sit at there...
wait v long ... around 15minutes... then she come back and tell me actually it's not yet upgrade... she call technician there just now and get answer that they are configurating my line... and say mayb the speed will upgrade tonight...

WTF???? rclxub.gif 1st 3 calls say upgrade already with loud sound... now say not yet upgrade and need to wait until to night... summore not yet sure de... say if still not yet upgrade can call again tomorrow... $)^(*@$)(^*$&^@#*$^@#

shit! mean big possible that i need to call 100 and listen those bullcrap for 5th time again la??!!

all of those troubleshoot they given is helpless!

1st 3 times i speak with normal voice and they didnt take it serious at all... and 4th time i m really mad then only they call technician to check the system!

that's suck!!

standard lah speed direct to level 2 support ..the 1 level ppl don't have technical knowledge at all , waste time speak to them ,
if ur line keep not stable might be your port spoil already ..happen to me b4 ..call them ask them to change the port outside
chase them everyday

Experienced the same thing.

Ask if it was the same technician who did the reset. Mine wrote in his report that he reset it to 1.0Mb but it was only at 512kb the whole time. (Lesson: the technicians do one thing but write another. Makes me wonder how smart one must be in order to be working for TM.) Ask to change the technician in which they would not bother.

Leave it for one day. then check again. If it is still the same, make a beeline to your TM Point shop and ask to speak to their manager. You don't have to talk to the officers at the counter. I did mine quite rashly and am not that proud of it but it seems to work since when I shouted, they took me to the managers room to talk. After that, just tell the manager your problem and what the idiots the support side are being. If the problem was as per above in which from what you wrote seems like it, it'll take 2hrs the most to be done. Do make sure to highlight that you want a more experienced technician and not the current one that was assigned to you.

After that, and it's been bout 6 months already and my line is still problem free.

Hope it helps. Did not mention much details but really had a 'nice' session with them. I think I'm already blacklisted by them because of some of the things I did and said. tongue.gif

Last time I remember, the call center is being run by one of TmNet company called Vex (I dunno the real speeling though tongue.gif ).......That's why their service sucks alot........Vex actually don't know anything about networking.......

Last time my fix line got problem and there's a Telekom technician come check for me. during checking (using some device), he say your Internet usually is slow is it ... I was like ... how you know?? it bugs me for months already!! He say my broadband line already got problem and need to call streamyx to fix it, he can't fix for me because he belong to Telekom.

So I call streamyx help line regards on this, and yet they still insist the line is slow is cause by my computer setting. ok ... so a technician from Telekom come to my house checking also can't persuade him, does the Streamyx want us to cabut all cable and bring in front of him to let him see himself?

u ever tried bribe ? not that i encourage the fact to give tips but really, if it solves your issues fast, then why not.
normally cutting thru the red tape is high not encouraged. but hey, its just a thought.

and before u buggers start flaming me, becoz of tipping, it solve hell lotta my problems. its not something i encourage ppl to do. but the fact is i practise it myself and i dont mind doing it. and no i dont work for TMNET and no u cant tip me coz i dont have any contacts with them either.

Common case, happened to me once, one time everyday i spent 1 hour on the phone talking to them for 2 weeks. Why? cuz have to listen to their stupid music and promotion and a lot of commercial crap.

we need to first cleanse the government. Bersih was a good start. then, once that's cleansed, tmnet hopefuly wont get that much government support

weird. i called tmnet streamyx technical assistants today and they came with professionalism and brought a device to check for my house broadband frequency and CMRR in dB.

they even fixed the error at distribution point near my house.

given out ppl are bashing here instead of discussing it from a technical viewpoint, i suggest mods move this thread to kopitiam.

Why? Bacause when you shooting at the staff, they will know how sucks tm is and maybe will cancel the registration of screamyx for who ready to apply at that day.............xD

call 100 again just now and they say they report already, giv me a report number ask me call back 2 day after this if still not yet upgrade...
ask them y need 2 days... they say they need to check...
check whether my configuration got wrong or not...

she even told me upgrade already...=.=
then i tell her about last day i already call 100 for 4 times bla bla bla only she say she go report...


sigh...

i think i should go tm point to solve this...

everything must have a reason to it. sometimes your house RJ11 socket dont have enuff voltage to drive the broadband signal to your computer. that happens to my house coz we have 5 phones connected to different ports. all are connected to a splitter to separate the adsl from phone line.

ok, i agree they have very bad customer relationship, i myself (who already troubleshoot everything) are required to follow those steps provided by their tech support eventhough i've explained my part well with my own diagnose. happen that their technicians are better knowing than me, provided they have the tools for that purpose. they work very fast and very detail, i even learnt sumthing from them. and yet after one to another, they got calls like every other minutes from different customers.

so, i guess such a big company would have some difficulties in the number of technical experties which i deem it's very professional for them to work all out just for the satisfaction of their customers.

i'm not backing up streamyx, but they are wage-earners like us too. and the problem doesnt necessarily come from them, sumtimes electrical problem may affect the connection stream.

For me I didn't believe customer service on 100.

Call them, asking why my dsl still don't have light yet, they said already installed port for me and said maybe line problem...=.=
I called 5 times, same answer.

Until I called telekom technician, they assign a technician come to my house.
Then guess what they said?
Port sudah penuh, kena cari port lain......................=.=ll
At that time I really wanna fkup with them......................
Then they quicky find a new port and installed for me...............

I only believe the "real" technician, the customer service on 100 is sucks and moron!!
They're cheating to the customer, no port said got port.
Their port got problem said my port got problem.
Until technician comes, he said it's dslam problem......................=.=ll
So, do you think their customer service giving a "real" and "professional" answer?
They just follow the guideline, they don't know anything, just know how to making story aroung and cheating skill..............
Now each I having problem, I just call the telekom and ask them to assign a technician for me.................
I guest the technician also know me very well dy...............^^ll


For friend who having sucks connection, just call telekom from your area.
Try to get the phone number of telekom in your city/state, don't call 100, it's useless and helpless.
For me, 100 is the number for listen to "interesting" story and wasting your time only............

Mine even worse, those "technicians" that come, I don't even think they are technicians. One time 2 of these "technicians" came on a really rundown motorcycle. At first I was wondering why need 2? But I didn't really care. Then they came in and started doing their thing, except that they were doign it like don't know what they were doing and had this "trance" look in their eyes as though trying to remember what they memorised.. talk also as though no confidence, didn't use much of technical terms. I think I also know more about them.

what i'm thinking is the customer service's staff over there is always telling lie and cover something.

as i'm last time call them asking why my line always dc and cant reconnect back in a short of period.then the girl there tell a lot of rubbish like connect the line to modem directly to modem and try to reconnect using my router, then the line can be use again and never made any adjustment on it~

Sometimes i think tat, this company only will do their job after u complain.what a worst worst worst service provider.sweat.gif

Go complaint it over MCMC or CFM, after it they will fix your problem as soon as possible. You complaint over them better than you call those noob, just do it don't wait anymore.

I didn't get any call from MCMC but i do get a call from CFM, anyway they won't talk like "Pro" but they will help you settle your case, it really usefull. If you guys fed up with those noob and they ignore fix for you or talk lots of rubbish it's time you guys call/mail them up. Last time i mail them then within 1 or 2 days those noob fixed my problem, those noob just scare of MCMC and CFM. When they get presure from them they sure will fix your problem as soon as possible. laugh.gif

Certainly everything must have a reason. You speaking up for TMNET also must have its reasons. That's probably a positive experience you had. I'd say, let the statistics speak for itself here. A lot are talking about their problems and experiences.

Such a big company, such terrible backbone. There are larger companies in this world, with better backbone, customer service although I can't really name one. I'm positive of it.

Their diagnosis steps are often ridiculous honestly. Such as ipconfig /flushdns (what if you disable dns client?) and to turn off the modem for sometimes. There are a lot of ridiculous crazy shit I've heard from them while talking to their support. I'm sure I'm not alone.

Good to hear your experience though, you must have had an electrical problem. I don't suppose this electrical problem can apply to even most people here in this thread.

Speaking of which, my line at the moment is very stable, I've been connected up to 60 days, although lately I've been getting crap speeds and 400ms to local servers. I don't think this is an electrical problem, but they must be doing something on their end. Many times, their so-called upgrade is suppose to give us better performance. But, at the end of it, since the early days, I've never once actually 'felt' an upgrade, more like a downgrade.

Quite sad we actually have naive people in the tmnet bandwagon, clueless about majority of cases.

Actually those things can be done by half day.
Like last time my case, no port installed for me yet.
But when technician comes, they done in half an hour....................

Must give presure to them, if not they just mimum kopi all the time.....

my line keep blinking when hujan. doesnt matter b4 or after. sure hujan. my modem can detect oledi wen nk ujan. sweat.gif

so, what should i do? call 100 or what? hope can get solution. i've read everything. im impressed with ppl who go directly to tmpoint n get the problem solved. am i hv to do the same thing? opinion~~~

2- If not solve ---> go to TM Point (also remember ask the technician in-charge at your area phone/Hp no. Do it only for the first time, you can skip this in future)
3- Still not solve ---> call the technician (who in-charge in your area),tell them your problem being pending for very long time .... and need icon_question.gif A.S.A.P...
4- Still problem ---> I never did this before but you can complaint to MCMC / CFM like what warez did... rclxms.gif

i call 6 times be4 and it didnt help me at all...

my aztech router and streamyx line is working well during raining day with my 512k streamyx be4...
i still can "owning" in bs lol
i just get my 1M line yesterday so i cant confirm whether it's same or not...

so for me slow connection and blinking dsl light (ur dsl light blinking when hujan right?) is not normal for me...

Unfortunately one need to call 100 just to get the logged report, before those technician guys can entertain your problem... tongue.gif

You cant simply go to TMpoint or call the technician guys and saying "Hello boss apa pasal my streamyx slow aaahhhhh ?" those person will ask you back ..."Boss you sudah reportkah (100)...?" ..LoL!!!!

Long story short...this thing happened on the other day when I was tried Avira Premium Security Suite (Antivirus)...i think Avira (the Web Guard aka Web/Http scanning) was interrupting the test by re-routing (proxy/checking) my download test before send it to me this cause the SpeedTest.Net (mixed-up!) and the test not accurate rclxub.gif . Remove the Avira everything seems fine...below are my current speed test as today test....mind you i'm on 1mb package rclxms.gif

i found it rather funny Venezuelans are using a ringtone of king carlos telling prez chavez to shut up. we should make a ringtone demoting streamyx. maybe we could get the whole nation to put it, let them hear our rings at tmpoint. hehe

and average download speed is 30KB/s++
