I am seriously doubtful of the battery life of the Air - Apple uses the phrase “all day battery life” very broadly - they said the same about the iPhone SEs and those don’t get anywhere near all day battery life for me laugh.gif

think everything comes with compromisation. if one needs to go for thinner/lighter, it is something to accept.

else can choose 17 or pro series actually. tongue.gif

at least now there are choices.

those who previously own iphone mini and care more about the size and weight, i think air is actually a good model to consider.

ic. that's good. it means display is totally not a deal breaker between 17 and pro series. tongue.gif

good thing for 17 series users.

aside from no ceramic shield at the back, i don't see any reason not to get the base model honestly

looks like it's gonna sell like hot cake here.. especially for the nice color ones like lavender.

I might buy iPhone 17 for my mom later to upgrade from her SE 2022. At least the screen is bigger and everything else is better.

Wait for a few months for those online platforms to be cheaper. tongue.gif

the single rear camera = dual camera in one system rite? so this one is not really a deal breaker.

Really? I didn’t read the whole spec sheet yet. You mean actual physical focus length switching (like in a periscope zoom) or just digital cropping?

QUOTE(westlife)
battery life to be fair only 3 hours lesser than iphone 17 = i find it acceptable, given how thin it is.

I’m buying for my mum, who only changes phones every 3-4 yrs. long term battery degradation is also a concern. Such a shame they killed the Plus. Looks like I’ll need to spend big and get her a Pro Max this year.

if camera/video taking is not a key things that u do on daily basis, going to iPhone Air (it is not called 17 Air tongue.gif funny thing). if 4x or 8x zoom is not a must for u to have as well as wide angle. then i find that Air is still ok. tongue.gif

i will be changing to 17 air also. current 14 pro max only has 73% battery capacity left, but the battery life is significantly poor beyond the no.

battery replacement is rm449. not worth it. might as well save the money + trade in the 14 pro max 512gb for a new iphone. tongue.gif

i am referring to the 48MP Fusion camera system that works like multiple advanced cameras in one. Shoot in super-high‑resolution 48MP for ultimate detail or 24MP by default, or use the built‑in 2x Telephoto to zoom in with exceptionally clear quality.

it is not digital crop but optical crop i think. tongue.gif

yes, i would think that Air is ok. becos i want to change to it also. tongue.gif

camera would just be fine to me but in terms of battery size it would be a downgrade right, together with the screen size haha, but Iphone Air definitely tempting for me.

battery life certainly will be poorer one, but everything comes with compromisation, pro or pro max are significantly heavier.

day to day while most of us have charger at home or in office or even in the car, i dun think it is a big prob.
unless one is taking public transport which on the move time is significantly more then it will matter i guess.

the most will make more difference probably when u are travelling which u will be outside all day, but travelling one also is not doing it 365 days but very little no of days of the years. and if travel, i am sure one will bring along powerbank as well, dun think even with pro max can last for a full day during travel too. tongue.gif

seriously i dun think it will be a bummer to me. tongue.gif

Got Air ma, but lose the ultra wide and macro. Then you gotta ask how often you use it. But less battery life also.

Feels like a downgrade. Smaller screen, no ultra wide and tele, sure not an upgrade if you ask me.
