iPhone 17 Air is actually 2mm thinner than the iPhone SE 2022! I thought that phone is already very thin.

Air seems freaking slim and elegant. But Apple might to dumb down its A19 processor in order for it to last longer…

Name A19 Pro but less 1 GPU core than the A19 pro in the pro/max 🤦

I think the need for extra one charge in the middle of day is fair enough.

yes, with A19 pro chip (even 1 GPU lesser than 17 Pro series) + potentially 12GB RAM, it makes the Air attractive to get over 17 actually.

This year 17 no doubt is the MVP in terms of best CP value. However, i think many ppl especiall asians are too used to bigger display (plus or pro max size of display). So it may not be surprised that ppl will still go to buy Air/Pro Max (more likely) since Pro Max to be fair price is same as last year too which last year many have also spent the money to go for Pro Max. 
seriously i think in real life, the 1 GPU less may not cause problem to day to day usage.
unless video editing kind of tasks which i think quite rare for ppl to do on a phone.
for gaming wise, even previous years, hardly have youtubers commented that the weaker SoC on iphone series that are weaker than Pro Series significantly.

maybe more should worry about the heat dispersion of Air vs Pro this year since Pro is redesigned with the body and use of aluminium to help to sustain the SoC power over heavy usage. 

I dont mean it will die on the mid day , like u fully charge at the morning , replying email , social media  some photo/video , and it might left around 40-50% in the 2-3pm , so to be more secure , might need topup alittle bit back to 80-90% for maybe night dinner or meeting til home , for such slim and light weight phone , i think topup in the middle of day is fair enough.
About the USB 2.0 , i think apple really focus more on cloud service or wirelessly rather than cable. Me myself also rarely use cable expect for charging only  If want to transfer anything to windows laptop , just using LocalSend and it can cross-over all platform.
Definitely worth for first launching  , then buy a magsafe powerbank to backup then u wont ever have battery life anxiety 

But cannot replace the backup via iTunes rite? If usb 2.0 the transfer will still be slow. Although I never have the experience with backup via iTunes using iPhone 15 pro and above yet.

If fully backup - can be used to restore to new iPhone kind can only be done in two ways I guess

1) iCloud+ backup

2) iTunes backup (to local storage)

Wireless backup between two iPhones only applicable to new setup of iPhone (one time thingy)

If you dont pay for the subscription you get a very small allocation of storage only which will not be enough for storage. How much do you pay for your monthly subscription? Just curious.

200GB iCloud is too little for me. I'm using standalone 2TB iCloud and Apple Music (student package).

Though I also have Spotify, YouTube Premium as well.

I still prefer Apple Music for music and Spotify for larger music selection and podcast.

RM45 for 6 people is not bad at all. About Rm9 each.

The base iphone this year is a good deal. Makes it feel no reason to get second hand iphone 15 or 16 pro for similar price lol

iCloud+ 2TB RM 44.90/month, pay for less than 2 years already can use the rm1k spent to buy 2x more storage which will be helpful for taking a lot of photos/videos. i find it quite a lot to spend and not to mention it is ongoing cost. 
less than 2 years icloud + 2TB monthly = 2x storage size already. 

ya today preorder will reveal which model this round is popular.

Air I am sure it is still quite niche. 
But this round I want to be in the niche group though. 

IPhone X was the flagship back then. It could be different for the Air this round. Unless Apple makes it obsecenely expensive. Then it would be a different story.

not pre-order. but will buy at different online platform during sale period. 
not going to repeat the mistake by paying extra premium for just less than 1 month to be the first adoptor this round. 

air no one is fighting over it. sure will have stocks later during sale period.

Air priced at rm4999 , for this price , it got too much choice, spending almost rm4999 just to get the light weight feeling cant justify the price i think , the air is just like spending for the technology for a small group of people.

Bro.. don't cross sell here ar.... Apple is already a gazillion dollar company.

And it seems battery is better as well. I can live without the telephoto lens. iPhone 17 feels like a “Pro-lite” phone than a base phone. With 256GB at the same starting price as 16, pretty good deal. I’m not blown away by the Pro’s camera, and all the Prolog feature not relevant to me.

The Air, you’re really paying for form over function. But I think I need to go handle one and see how it feels in hand. But based on battery life and benchmarks… even with the Pro chip it perform worse than the base 17… the Air is really the “base” phone if you forget about its form factor.

Lucky the base 17 colors not attractive to me. Only 1 dark color choice since 14…. I really loved the Alpine Green on the 13 Pro. I feel 16 colors are better than 17. Ultramarine and Teal both nicer than Mist Blue and Sage..but that’s just me. But I’ll end up with the black… I really want the white for a change but haiya it’ll show up when taking photos of reflective surfaces.. i guess put it in a case.

Finally got my hands-on on the Iphone Air.
Not really having the 'wow' factor as I would imagine. It's thin yes but as I am already using the Fold 7, once unfolded, the Fold is thinner than the Air LOL.
And size wise, it's just barely bigger than the regular base 17 model.
Overall sacrificing the battery and the camera, no wonder the reception for this model is abit subpar. Just my opinion.

i told them, i dont use icloud. i must use phone to phone transfer.

they propose that i could buy full price iphone air 1st.
once i transferred all data, i can trade in the old phone and refund the money.

anyone did that? i have 3 old phones to trade in.
