A few m in savings account that doesn’t bear interest. Made m early/mid 30’s so opportunity cost is like a few hundred grands so far if i put in a few asb accounts but im not that sad and a only some tiny regret. I am by definition a miser. Only now moving some into maybank premier since they called and the return is rather paltry and entry ticket is like 250k across the board so i jumped. But money isn’t everything.

QUOTE(GravityFi3ld @ Jul 22 2024, 11:48 PM) House Loan. Specifically the tenure, should've batten down the hatches and stuck through 10year period instead of the maximum 35years. Our local proverb rings true (at least to me), "bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian" - short term pain for long term gain(debt-free). What if u use that extra cash flow for btc

It’s not what mistakes you may or may not have committed financially that matter.
It’s how you rectified and learned from them that does.

QUOTE(xpole @ Jul 22 2024, 10:44 PM) Life mistake: 1) Took hobby Diploma and Degree. End up working in a job that I hate every single day. Been working in this field for so long. Want to change field, but I have no idea what I want to do. Financial mistake 1) Took a Personal loan due to financial and career mistake that I've done previously. I have no choice during that time. 2) Didn't save a lot. Now I'm in the process of building up the savings. 3) Bought a new car and now I feel suffer paying for it. If I know that I would end up in current situation, I should stick using the old car. The reason I purchased a new car is I work quite far from home. So I need a reliable car at least. My old car keep facing problem in the situation where I need to use it urgently. But what to do, I have suffer for few years of paying the new loan, but at least, I don't have to worry about the car issue for a while. 3. If your car can last 20 years and take you to make more money, I see it as a good thing. Life is priceless. If a car is 50k and can ensure your safety on road, it's good.

Our local proverb rings true (at least to me), "bersusah-susah dahulu, bersenang-senang kemudian" - short term pain for long term gain(debt-free). You can always make extra payments to shorten the tenure. Many people finish their 35 years loan within 15 years and save a lot of interest. 1. Rushing into paper degree after spm. Should have took 2 - 3 years off to explore a bit before committing to do degree.
2. Not taking studies seriously when young time. Now long term paying the piper, stuck trying to catch up and kena looked down on during cny and gatherings.
3. Being complacent and not going to sg when it significantly easier to get in.

QUOTE(Kaya Butter Toast @ Jul 23 2024, 09:42 AM) How easy was it to earn? And did you find any satisfaction fucking those hot girls? Would it be different if it was a mutual encounter rather than a paid one? Felt like money grow on trees. My stocks and partial income got contribute too. But mostly due to quarterly bonus. Boss gave me 1 year bonus already this year / excluding basic Abt 250k- Actually if u pay enough -whatever fucking gf experience also u get. Much better than mutual encounter. Coz u get the looks and feel -all at once But i had women like coffee now d, can’t recall how many i had

-Did not position my portfolio size in BABA when it was 300, burned entire brokerage acct.
-Bought property at peak, and can easily lose 100k if sell today (still holding)
-Should learn investing 5 years earlier and just maybe, I will be in a different place today.
- Stuck in a commission paid job for too long and wasted years of corporate experiences.
But more importantly, is that we learn and aware. We may missed the best time, but the next best time is TODAY..
Never give up!

Rich people dont have time to count sens or ringgit at end of the month. They focus their time to make as much money per month. Just work hard to go up the financial ladder but also don't be water fish and be used by your bosses only to be discarded lah
