I could have cleared my debt many times over

But i was chasing expensive watches and luxury holidays.

Worst i spend it on so much pussy it given me hpv- and i spend a boat load of money to cure it.

till this day i am still fucking someone else girl/ not repenting.

But kalau bukan sekarang … bila ? When i m 40s? 50s?

Moral of the story- LIVE AND Never regret.

On our death bed - we be lonely and bring nothing over too- at least you have live your life and enjoy every thing god has to offer.

Fuck debt - its just paper -

If you need the resale value when buying car, you can't afford that car in the first place.

my regret-

listen to parent and bought the first property outskirt during my 20+ . lose out opportunity cost in DCA into S&P 500 or other similar investment.

the property i ended up did not use for own stay and rent it out. the return is kind of mediocore. can cover interest portion of the loan at most not fully loan.

fast forward today. plan to sell the property but have to realise 150k loss if want sell fast coz property price bought at the peak.

Would you be as disciplined on dca as to a strict mortgage loan repayment regime? I think your parents know you better

I may be wrong

ya i consider myself a discipline person at least for financial side of matter. just that making too many rush decision at the young age. and listen too much to parent without process all the decision they wanted me to make.

they make a lot of financial mistakes for me. most of it can be cancel with some loss. but the house is a big one unfortunately.

Now friend's bro kena McOcean.
Living a "lavish" life and gonna "retire" from his engineering job.
My friend himself is joining Amway with a bunch of idk who. Always visiting his place during the weekends on the subject of "you live alone, we can accompany you" while brain wash his brains to 100% join their cult. So far he didn't sell his stuff la but idk how much to believe him.

What made u succumb to their mechanics and eventually "oh shit, not again"?

Curious. Very curious.

2025 McOcean still around? wah lao .

Almost 10 years I got recruited once to their event. Can say was tempted, around that time my starting salary super low.

God blessed me to dodge that bullet.

Beg to differ. High resale value cars provide you with exit plans when things go south. I only buy trusted JAP cars . Never will buy China / Conti / P1 no matter how alluring they are.

That's how the mlms get you by exploit human psychological need for social, love and care. Long before socmed and smartphone they also practice and perfect it. The uplines and team always host weekly meetings to do teambuilding, first entice newbies with financial freedom/build own business then slowly rope you in and surround you with 'family/friend' feeling. Like this many ppl sure fall into it. Lonely folks young and old attend a few session will also become committed until willing to spend some money every month buy overpriced things like subscription to continue to be a part of the family. Not saying that real relationship cannot be made there, just that deep down they all know that making money is the basis of their relationship.

But, also not everyone can be good upline leader. Many just cannot hide their true intention well. Can feel that they are not genuine. So they will often come in group to brain wash newbies.

Unker don't blame newbies, the world can be a cold place and it is not easy to make real friends once become adult. suddenly surrounded by friendly ppl show interest in you, give time to 'grow' you, want to see you 'success'. Even the most introvert ppl can kena brain washing.

Well, if you need exit plans when buying cars, then you really cannot afford that car in the first place.

Yeah.
I'm have a deep avoidance with these things so I always brutally tell them I am not interested and please don't bloody drag me into your cult. But I'm surprised that people change so drastically over these especially those with proper ed and technical careers.

People change once they have a lot of money all of a sudden? hmm.gif

For myself, I don't have much regrets except for one parental issue that is not comfy for me to talk abt here.

Worked hard when young, had fun but did not get into too much trouble nor caught serious sickness, made my money, bought the usual cars and properties in life, married 'a few times', setup own practice, made more money, mostly taxfree legally from overseas investments, looked after wives, brought-up children and are all professionals now overseas,...

Been to many places and am only keen on adventure travels now,... most notable recently was driving to The North Pole and brought the wife and kids along...... great memories there tho' it was freezing cold and we got caught in the snow at Dawson City.

Bro... This thread is talking about regrets, you don't need to share your success story until bragging about going to the north pole. It stinks of being on a high horse when you should feel the room

I'm talking from the other end, abt one regret and non-regrets,..... well,... if you feel I'm bragging,... it's ok,...

Hmm,... I'm not too comfy abt this post too,... don't know why,... I'll delete it.

By the way, there's nothing I to brag abt the post. No big success stories there,... just the norms abt everyday lives. I'm surprised with your standards.
