Their visa is so troublesome. They insisted that I produced a confirmed air ticket and confirmed hotel bookings as if they are going to refund me everything if the application is not sucessful. I insisted that I had none and they asked to write out everything in detail flight no time , hotel address, contact etc. I just took out my Iphone and find a few hotels from tripadvisor to put in.
*
I dont have any problem with the visa. I just provided the items in their website.
Everything about the flight info I added in the itinerary. 2 days of my stay in Kyoto not yet have a confirmed accommodation. So I put in the possible place that I'm considering.
No need to produce any proof of anything.
Quite easy surprisingly. And the queue not that long too. 7 mins for submission and 5 for collection. rclxms.gif

Like Shazzac said, you can't satisfactorily cram both parks into 1 day. If you're pressed for time, just choose 1 to go. Disneysea has better rides and is better for adults, Disneyland is better if you're bringing family i.e. kids.

Some talk about visa prob here. I went to JP several times, no prob with visa app, as long as all requested docs in order. Sometimes queue a bit long, so I popped upstairs to their library to catch up with my mangas (huge collection there). Not painful at all. smile.gif

Any visa app, as long as all the conditions are met, and docs in order, should be straightforward. The queuing is another matter, and I vote Canadian High Commission as the worst!

The best is Australia for me. No queing, waiting & come back later to collect. All done online wth just typing in the particular and credit card ready on hand haha.. All done within minutes.

I think future VISA application should follow Aussie ETA (Electronics travel Authority)

Bro Cid, just like to check with you.
I changing my plan from going Hokkaido for 2 nights to remain at Tokyo cause i think 2 nights in Hokkaido really not enough.
Since i have extra 2 nights then i plan to travel somewhere nearby Tokyo to minimize cost and time.
Any places to recommend?
I did my homework and thinking of Yokohama, Kusatsu, Hakone or Nikko.
Which do you think is more feasible and more interesting during winter (beginning of Dec)?

I took out and IPhone and write a few hotels and flights randomly from trip advisor in front of them. Hotels are ridiculously expensive now.

ETA is essentially visa free travel minus a background check. Not all nationals traveling to aus can it. Thais an Indonesians still have to go through the normal paper application process. Less than 10 countries in Asia are eligible. You are not asked to proof adequate funds and you are not going to be rejected unless you are some blacklist. The process is similar for nationals who can enter US without visa such as Singaporeans . They have to get a similar eta as well

The SUICA just like PASMO are their TNG card. Both can be used almost all rail & metro system in Japan. Since SUICA will cost you a bomb to travel from Tokyo to Narita, this N'EX os some sort of "Free Pass" attached to the complimentary SUICA card that you going to buy.

This I read from here: http://www.jreast.co.jp/e/suica-nex/#category01

The Free Pass concept also available for travel from Asakusa Tobu line to Nikko and also from Shinjuku to Hakone via Odakyu line.

So utilize you N'EX till Tokyo Stn and after out from Tokyo stn, take the Marunochi line (Red M line) to Shinjuku by using your SUICA.. Diff lines diff tickets Your suica is a prepaid card.
