Hi.. I will be going to Japan for company training from 5th of June to 17th of June if there is no change to the schedule.. I will be staying somewhere near Ueno Park for first week and another week at around Kofu area. I will also having around 2-3days free for my own activities. My question is, is there anything worth getting from there cheaply and bring back to Malaysia to sell for some money? I am not thinking of earning big bucks, just to cover my expenses and the cost which may incurred during my stay over there. = )

Actually, J-Hopper is a good hostel. It it very clean, with friendly staff and the location is near to JR station which is just 5 minute walk.On top of that, they still have activity like local tour guide on Wednesday and Friday inhouse party which I think is fun. For your info, I was staying there for 1 week last time.

Hi

I am traveling solo for the first time to and staying in Osaka from Oct. 15th -  22th.

This is my first solo trip and I am pretty excited (!) but would appreciate a little guidance.

I liked Osaka's food and night life offerings as well as being the midpoint between Nara, Kobe, and Kyoto.
I plan on spending a day at each place.

Question(s) 1:
I would like to know if it is necessary to stay in different hotel if I were to commute to Osaka -> Kyoto -> Kobe
Question 2:

As I said before, I am in Osaka mainly but also visiting Kyoto, Kobe, and Nara so do you suggest a JR pass?
It might make life easier if JR pass consists of one way stops since directions are one of my "need improvement" areas but if there is a large discrepancy between a JR pass and just buying tickets as I go then I can do that.
Question 3:

As this is a budget trip, do you think its possible to go to Tokyo and then Osaka via shinkansen/bus and then KIX?
Thanks!

Answer 1:
No.If you are on tight budget, you try to stay in Osaka.

Answer 2:
If you just plan to go Osaka, Nara and Kobe, just buy normal tickets.

Answer 3:
If you want to go Tokyo in a 8 days trip.I think you schedule will be pretty tight.
