since is 6months filter replace
let say the orange indicator appear around 4-5th month of usage, can we get LG to send new filter earlier, is it FOC? or we have to pay for the cost since it only allow filter change every 6months?

tq

If the orange is appear early than 6 months, you can always call LG CS for the filter replacement to be send .

Using wd518.
Water dispensing rate is quite slow.
Cold setting not that cold
Energy usage around 15-16kwh per month

Ok la to use if not that much.

I'm considering the WD516 or the WD518. I'm just going under the assumption that the internals are probably similar. So might go with the one that my wife thinks is cute. Probably untrue, but but at any rate, I'm not about to lose sleep over it.

However, I'm slightly perturbed by this "Dispensing rate quite slow".

Do you mean that it takes a while for the cold water to cool? Or if I were to press it, it takes a moment to start?

Could I trouble you to spend a moment elaborating on this please?

"Dispensing rate quite slow" - I believe they compare with the tank water purifier, where the tank will finish up in the morning when filling up bottle for the whole family and need to wait again and tankless benefit is unlimited water dispense. Also, the dispense outlet height is enough for most of the big bottle, you just put there until it's fill up, especially you use WD518AN which you can set your favarite water volume to dispense, make it favarite and everyday u just press favarite and dispense itself.

Cold water, it will dispense immeditely the moment u press start, the more water u dispense, of cause the water will slight less cold, then will need sometime to cold it again.

I can assist u on any question.

Can I actually connect my existing water filter (eg. amway espring /3m water POU filter) into the LG puricare water purifier? Will there be any issue towards the machine?

There's no reason to, the LG unit has all the filters u need unless u wish to keep the LG filters as clean as possible by doing so

But don't think our technician can find such connector to do it, usually the spout will not fit the LG unit pipings nicely

Dunno why but these 2 days i realised the fan inside my unit (wd518an) spinning quite noisy in idle mode.

Is it normal ? The humming sound just louder than usual.
It's like 1 hour later i after i last used, the sound still there.

This morning before going out also still humming noisily, hmm.

but if one request replacement of filters and he is paying installment by 7 years...

u mean is it possible that that let's say every year
filter A x 2 + filter B x 1 for one year

if 7 years the above should multiple by 7... = x no of filters in 7 years...

but one requested replacement earlier, it is possible for it to be x +1 or x +2 ... +3 ... depending how many extra filters requested but still free?
