22nd May LG sent me SMS to confirm address, but till now havent received new filters till my Puricare button become brown liao.

I understand filter can use until 1.8k liter, now i'm at 1.3k+ liter. But LG should send on time right? No updates from them via SMS or email after I confirmed my address via that SMS link.

1. For inlet and outlet pipe, what is size require to drill on my table? I have quartz stone table.
2. Is the drilling service as part of the free installation? Or it will charge separately?
3. If I choose to keep the pipes neat under my sink/table, can the installer can do it? Is it covered by free installation or charge separately?

1. 17mm hole, might need to drill ur cabinet compartments too if u wish to place it far from ur sink
2. Will be charge separately since urs is a quartz top, usually RM100, if wood material top, usually our technician willing to help drill FOC
3. Can, free as part of the installation. Since u alrd decided to drill ur kitchen top, the plastic pipes will go thru that hole and connect to ur water in/outlet under the sink

If don't mind I can Whatsapp u a video of my house setup, I place it 9ft from the sink so had to drill few holes on the kitchen top and cabinet walls, but the pipes are completely concealed under the kitchen

Do you guys get monthly invoice and monthly receipt to your email? They deduct my credit card every month but no invoice no receipt nothing.

I only get statement of account if I request, that also take 2 weeks.

That's why, I saw so cheap I quote you. lol. Sad loh. Maybe wait for the next too cheap Puricare outright purchase.

RM50/mth how long contract? 7 years? Too long for me.

The long contract is actually beneficial to customer imo

1. All filters are free during the 7 yrs
2. Warranty also free during the 7 yrs
3. No need to pay whole sum upfront, keep ur cash and earn some interest and slowly pay LG
4. The total cost over 7 yrs actually almost the same (or even cheaper) as buying outright + buy filters separately

WD516 was released in 2022 if i rmb correctly, so still quite new, considering not much new tech coming out for water filters, I doubt it'll be phased out anytime soon

Hi guys, I'm not sure if it's correct to ask here, but I want to install a water purifier. I'm unsure whether to choose Cuckoo, coway or LG. Also, how about the power consumption for these 3?

Coway is most likely the most expensive of all the brands (both the machine, rental and filter package)

Cuckoo flagship should be Titan, can check out first page of this thread for its comparison against LG and see which u prefers

I’m not sure about Cuckoo or Coway actual power usage, however, for my customers who switched from either of this brand to LG, they did see significant improvement in their electric bill.

From my own measurement of LG WD516AN using maximum tariff bracket of RM0.57/kwh for 30 days with a family of 5 adults, the total cost about RM10.50 to RM11.00.

If you are on lower tariff bracket, your monthly running cost is much lower than this. LG claims Up to 50% energy savings and from feedback many have able to achieve this.

Standby power consumption goes down to 3.5W at idle. Max power consumption is when using hot water, as this is using instant boil technology, hence the power draw is 2800W while drawing hot water.

is LG always slow in sending out the filter? i’ve been waiting since i received a text message on june 26 saying i have a pos malaysia tracking number, but i just got to check the status today and it said failed to pickup.. contacted pos customer service and they said it’s still with sender hence the status.

There was a problem with our Poslaju system end of June, can try getting ur agent to follow up for u

It takes few months after the SMS... i received the SMS on May, and the thing arrived in July.

So.. be prepare for the slow service.

Another issue with LG is their service network and service team which is not big as coway or cockoo..

Have issue after installing the filter... so i made 2 email support, made 2 calls to service center...

they say will call me back when contacted the technician. But after 1 week already... and there is no one follow up.
