Tried to use the debit card at these 2 shops at Pavilion DH and failed:
- Beautea
- AllIT Hypermarket
On both occasions I asked the cashier to try again and still no luck.

End up using GX Bank card and TnG ewallet to pay.
I assume it's because the bank is fairly new so it's not in the system or something like that

Sound like didn't make sense. They use Visa not UnionPay

probably the BIN for AEON Bank still not being updated (similar happen to GXBank if not mistaken)

I am using the public Adguard DNS, whitelist is not an option. Although I don't have problem after disconnected from VPN.

Did anyone counter check the interest payment for May is correct or not? Is the interest count by amount overnight for each day and sum up for the whole mth?

It calculated daily and sum up the amount at the end of month. The calculations is correct on my side. Including RM20 hold.

My interest for May 2024 tallied.
It's counted as the day-end balance x 3.88% / 366 and add together...no round-up until the final figure interest total for the month

anyone able to preset amount at petronas pump?

me preset lower than available balance still failed... already minus the rm20 min balance.

Eh… normal to hold rm200 . So not advisable to use debit card

me use other banks debit can preset no problem..just aeon bank je kenot preset...

My experience, first time i need to use pin. After that no issue . I guessed the pin activate the card for first time.. not sure.. but after that, no issue at any pos terminal ..

aeon live chat not available for 30min. oh my god, poor than gxbank.
now debit card cannot use. all transaction cannot set(zero). very poor service.

finally connected. cs will forward my query to another team . less than 1 min and run away. no record, no email. lost fate on aeon bank service on handling case.
try another option is submit report using system, it is better than live chat with cs. case reported is on 7 june. but case say 6 june for 2 cases. from the number can predict so many people open case.

Found issue myself. Lazada need to turn on online transaction and oversea payment
Pending issue - cannot set transaction limit on debit card (all zero)
Still waiting for cs to respond

Finally returned to Malaysia, so now can use AEON Bank. Just to check my maths.

Condition: I now have AEON Bank and GX Bank (no Rize).

The way I maximize my profit is:

1. AEON Bank: 47.17*21 = 990.57 (effective rate = 3.88*2 = 7.76% p.a.)

2. GX Bank: 61*11 = 671 (effective rate = 3*2 = 6% p.a.)

Then the leftover ones will go into AEON Bank again...

So now the AEON Bank effective rate will drop to 0.02/0.015*3.88 = 5.17% p.a. and the minimum amount to earn 0.02 cent interest (per pocket) will be 0.015*366/0.0388 = 141.49 MYR per pocket.

All I have to do is to bring up some of the original 21 pockets from 47.17 MYR to 141.49 MYR to gain some more "cents" though with a reduced effective interest, assuming I don't wanna bother with Rize or other products.

Hope my maths are all correct. Thanks for checking.

aeon bank pocket trick wont work i think.

cause they only round up the sum at the end of the month. so only 1 time rounded up, and not daily.

but if you want to try also no harm.

Ah ok. So the recommended way for putting money in AEON would be the 47.17*21? (That one rounds up from 0.005 to 0.01)

I am betting that the round up every day and deposit only at the end of the month (i.e,, they withhold the interest temporarily only)

Anyone works at back office of AEON Bank can give tipsy?

that was the theory. but someone else posted that they received 3 cents for 6 days. instead of 1 cent/day.

that's why i said they only apply the round up/down during the interest payout. Since its not daily rounding, it doesn't work.

but you can try also, no harm. Can only really confirm it next month 1st July. If it doesnt work then you are still getting same interest as the whole amount put without any pocket. So no loss.

i myself am doing 20 pockets of it, and rest of balance in main account.

yes, they do total, then round up on final day. same as boost - after a week.
