QUOTE(Optizorb @ Jun 1 2024, 01:31 AM) ok yes, the crediting was delayed, looks like it is staggered disbursement even within same account. Does this magic number work for non-daily interest payout (like GXBank) ?anyway all my money is in and correct. i can help to confirm few things for others who might find it useful. 1) the formula for calculation is indeed 366 days and not 365 (despite written 365 in their FAQ page) so: end of day balance * 3.88% /366 = interest - all my pots with min balance needed to get 1 cent using 365 days no get interest - all my pots with min balance needed to get 1 cent using 366 days got the interest 2) the magic number is 47.17 x 20 pots. then leave the rest big bulk in main account. or if you want to be safe, 47.17 in main account + 19 pockets, 1 pocket for the rest of big bulk amount With example of 50k: a) without doing so, you only get 5.30/day : 50,000 * 3.88% /366 = 5.30/day b) with doing so, you can get 5.40/day aka extra 10 cents/day or RM3.00/month + have extra 51.60 to spare : 47.17 x 20 pockets (943.40) = 0.20/day : 49,005 * 3.88% /366 = 5.195 = 5.20/day : 0.20 + 5.20 = 5.40/day :: 50,000 - 943.40 - 49,005 = 51.60 extra, do whatever else with it. basically keeping this amount wont be earning you anything. ^for example of 50k only. other numbers do your own calculation to find your own sweet spot c) if you not planning to use aeon, can keep 47.17 x 21 (20 pocket + 1 main) = 990.57 to get 7.76% pa returns on it - normally 3.88% supposed to get 11 cents/day, but you gonna get 21 cents/day 3) speaking of main account, the RM20 locked in will be taken into account for interest crediting. I got my 1 cent with 27.20 + 20 (locked) = 47.20 Based on my numbers, it will not. kiritoffx liked this post

QUOTE(PseudomonasSA @ Jun 1 2024, 04:45 PM) I think that's because AEON apps blocks all access via VPN. My SIM card data is don’t know from which country as it’s a roaming sim in Taiwan. Bought from ShopeeWhen you are roaming using certain SIM cards, for example Digi SIM card, overseas, the local networks automatically create a VPN connection to Digi network in KL. The same happens in the UK. If I use Celcom or Digi internet roaming, AEON apps refuse the connections. If I connect using local UK SIM cards/WI-FI, it works. Don't think AEON will ever release this block. It has been built into their safety policy |

@Arsyad1105 Referencing your reply today at 5.11pm Please rethink your post carefully as what you mentioned can be constituted as slander. Funny or not, it won't become a joke when you are served a legal demand letter by AEON Bank + this thread possibly closed. Your post should not be setting a precedent for similar posts to appear in the future in this thread. This post has been edited by hye: Jun 1 2024, 06:31 PM Arsyad1105 liked this post

QUOTE(ultramoo @ Jun 1 2024, 05:03 PM) Tried to add money and just realised it can only be done via DuitNow. No fpx. Confirmed by their customer service newer banks or merchants beginning to stop using fpx and it will be replaced by DuitNow called DuitNow OBW = Online Banking/Walletessentially same as FPX but supporting ewallets too (not fully activated yet) if you noticed, initial rm20 transfer comes from 2 options: 1) duitnow transfer (other banks/wallets push money into aeon bank) 2) This post has been edited by cybpsych: Jun 1 2024, 10:14 PM |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 1 2024, 10:46 PM) your test case of one day does not APPLY TO the monthly 30/31 day calculation... yea i got a feeling maybe they only do the rounding after total-ing the 30 days sum.47.16 x 1 x 3.88% / 366 = 0.0049 ~ RM0.00 47.17 x 1 x 3.88% / 366 = 0.005 ~ RM0.01 Your one-day (31st May) is not conclusively as proven by eeeglow24 who deposited RM47.17 since 26th May You proven the 0.005 becomes 0.01 only. so only the final amount which is the payout that would get rounded up/down. |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Jun 1 2024, 11:11 PM) makes sense. you will see the rounding effect benefit if it credits to you dailybut if not credited daily, stored by computers then i guess it will just maintain all the decimals to tally together and no rounding being done cause no payout being done. anyway, i'll just keep the 47.17 x20 pockets for now, to confirm how it truly works come next month. If nothing weird happens, then at worst also will still get the same interest as keeping it all in 1 place without pockets. |

QUOTE(hebe87 @ May 31 2024, 04:27 PM) any idea, for the 3x Aeon point per RM spend, is it applicable to spend at Aeon only? TNB confirm can. Paid RM193 got 579pts. Just takes a few days for transaction to be processed. This 1.5% cashback is the best so far for TNB other than MyNews credit 100+10 every 1st of month. That is if you can find a MyNews that still accepts MyNews credit for bill payment.how about other spend such as paying TNB bills *i unable to find the terms and conditions or product disclosure sheet.. aeon bank website just showed the FAQ only This post has been edited by soonwai: Jun 2 2024, 07:06 PM |
