@ericlaiys
I would advise on your statement as it can be interpretated as 3R related. Especially so with the 'lol' at the end - might be seen as an insult.

Reminder to all members in this thread.
Zero tolerance for 3R topics/posts in the Finance section. Offenders will be dealt with severe consequence management. Discussions are encouraged but if the posts continue to be misleading or discriminatory then please make an attempt to get your facts right. Continuing on the wrong path is a major concern and may trigger strong uncomfortable discussions if left unchecked. If you disagree with the product, you may choose to walk away. There are options in the market for everyone. Nobody here is forcing you to take up the financial product nor the product is intentionally created to discriminate. As the end of the month approaches, it would be interesting to see how will AEON Bank handle the 3.88% interest payout.

QUOTE(PseudomonasSA @ Jun 1 2024, 04:48 PM) When you are roaming using Celcom or Digi, you can Google "What's my IP address", you can see that you are on a Malaysian network due to an automatic/compulsory VPN connection. Not so fast. If any bank in Malaysia participate in 3rd party marketing / selling customers data such as like this, that's a major compliance issue. I hypothesize that this arrangement is to help the local companies in calculating the total bandwidth used by different roaming cards, and to facilitate billing/invoicing The reason behind AEON Bank's action is likely security and not what your theory is. |

@Arsyad1105 Referencing your reply today at 5.11pm Please rethink your post carefully as what you mentioned can be constituted as slander. Funny or not, it won't become a joke when you are served a legal demand letter by AEON Bank + this thread possibly closed. Your post should not be setting a precedent for similar posts to appear in the future in this thread. This post has been edited by hye: Jun 1 2024, 06:31 PM Arsyad1105 liked this post

Members - appreciate if we all don't use the term "Type - (whatever)"
It is derogatory in nature to begin with (at least in my opinion and my close colleagues) and brings us further away from the harmonious environment that we used to. Collectively, let's all reject this term. Let's just concentrate on what the subject of the thread and what benefits it brings us all. |

Members, I'll make this reminder one more time and be prepared for strong consequences management from here on.
Keep your discussion on the topic of this forum without raising (not even a pinch) a word that smells cultural, racial and religion. I won't name the specific member here which started the conversation for now but I won't be spare anyone the next time. Discussions are fine (even strong discussions) but anything that that crosses the 3R borders are not tolerated for whatsoever reasons in this section.. Decisions on finance are made in your own capacity and you own the risks/rewards that comes with it. Nobody wants to know or give a damn what your reasons are - avoid from being ridiculed from your careless statements. This post has been edited by hye: Sep 1 2024, 10:48 PM |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Sep 2 2024, 11:56 AM) I feel they already did their research market... There's a professional way of putting this, let me try. (But yeah, I understand what you are trying to say)They might feel that even with low rates given, there's would still be demand for their products... Because??? Well... They're same with Rize in term of policies.... If you get what I'm trying to say..... I give more details... Then might be touching borderline R&R... So basically I'm saying Got 2 option for these groups of people.... AEON Bank & Rize... For now 👌💰 Both Rize and AEONBank created products to cater to their targeted customer segment. (or similar market segment whatever it maybe) And this segment likely has a preference for Islamic banking products. As one member pointed out - at the end the ultimate goal for the customer is to maximise the returns to themselves. (Whatever product that he/she chosen) And the customer has in mind what those returns means. QUOTE(virulence @ Sep 2 2024, 03:25 PM) Aeon & GXB both offer 3% so I'm contemplating if I should even maintain Aeon or just close the account as GXB more stable. In my opinion, for stability then GxBank wins. Actually for AEONBank now, you will never obtain true 3% returns on the assumption that you need to keep a min RM20 and obtain 0.88% and everything else in the pot to get 3.0%. At best, the total return will come very close to 3% but never 3%.This post has been edited by hye: Sep 2 2024, 04:30 PM |
