not sure...however i just realized i already received sms on the completion in October 2023. However, could not see any changes in speed and as mentioned in FAQ the will update the billing later

If upgrade completed, you should be informed on the upgraded speed is 800Mbps or higher..

I also received the similar sms. Let's see what we learned so far after gathering all the info here.

1. "Receive" Exclusive unifi tv pack with netflix. The word "receive" indicated it's free right? Nah. Impossible. Unifi, dont you dare to misguide us.

2. Receive mystery gift. What gift? Why there's 2 different type of SMS while they are obviously talking about the same thing?

3. Authorized dealer. Now this is the most interesting part. They told us to go to Authorized dealers near to our house instead of official TM points. What's reason behind this? If the so called mystery gift involes Unifi TV pack, it should be done under TM point instead of authorized dealer. Something doesn't make sense here.


I have no idea what's Unifi cooking. But one thing for sure. There's no free lunch when it comes to Unifi. I won't waste my time to go to find out what it is. I will wait for someone who are willing to go tomorrow and come back to report to us what they see.


Btw guys, since TM database was hacked and our data was leaked, not sure if the SMS got anything to do with the leak. Anyway, just be careful................

I plan not to wait for the speed upgrade but rather to get better offer within my current plan from Unifi (Turbo upgrade 2018, 500 mbps). If I go to TM point tomorrow, what is the best offer I can ask from them? At the moment what I can see, free 6 months + WIFI 6 with RM 149 per month for 500 mbps package.

Anyone else have problems logging into their app like Care@unifi or MyUnifi? Can't seem to login on my new device.

Also, the damn connection to my house got rate limited again. Supposed to be 500Mbps but I'm getting only 90+Mbps. Funny thing is the upload speed is also 100Mbps.

Yesterday was free to visit that desinated "Unifi Authorized Dealer". One Alphard Pak Cik came into asking staff at counter before me what was the mystery gift... in between the lines "mana TV?"

Pak Cik claims these Unifi / TM is scamming existing customer... curse all the way out the door.

Conclusion is only to promote their new Unifi or HyppTV package jer... mystery gift was just some small bag (smaller than those proper supermarket green bag)

please get you own router will get full speed
mine asus router i always getting full speed 500mbps and upload 100mbps no problem

Nope. Due to something happening on the TM ports. Happened before. Last time they insisted on sending a technician. This time I insisted they reset everything on their side and I got 500Mbps after that. Hassle is with the stupid authentication system they have.

Sounds like an ethernet cable problem.

MyUnifi app ok here.

No, it's on their side. Happened a few times before. Not sure why they are capping my connection speed about once a while Last year, they insisted on sending a technician to check. Finally, the fellow called back someone in HQ and asked them to change their port setting.

The first time it happened a few years ago, the technician came and checked and said he didn't know why HQ capped my speed suddenly.

Today, I just made them go and check and do the reset on their side and not waste my time with a technician. Speed back to normal after a while.

Frustrated because this happens over and over again randomly, and their damn app can't log me in. But I guess calling 100 is the better solution rather than going through the apps.
