My best guess. They are just being lazy. For first 6 months, they just simply put the original pricing. After all, it's waived, no matter how much figures they want to put in. After 6 months, they will only start to adjust the figures accordingly. I don't think they will be stupid enough to mess up with the SWU 3.0 billing since there's a huge amount of subscribers on this.

As long as the new plan name is correct, then we have good reason to argue if problem occurs.

Somehow your new rm119 SWU 3.0 plan name is different with us. The correct name should be Unifi 300Mbps - staywithUnifi 3.0 (MESH 6). Your current new plan name suggesting that you are subscribing to 500mbps SWU 3.0 RM 159. You better check with Unifi and ask what happened.

Don't think so. If you are subscribing to 300mbps free upgrade to 500mbps rm119, the new plan name should always stick to 300mbps to reflect your original speed.

If your new plan name shows 500mbps from the beginning, then it means your new plan is 500mbps, instead of 300mbps free upgrade to 500mbps.

If unifi really change the name again, then they should be blamed for confusing the customers again and again.

Anyway, as I said earlier, better check with Unifi and clarify. Don't take risk.

It's very simple. The original pricing of of 500mbps (not SWU 3.0) was RM249. When we applied for SWU 3.0 300mbps, the price was RM119. At the same time, we got free upgrade to 500mbps. So our pricing detail will be RM249-RM130 = RM119.

For first 6 months, it's waived. Eventhough the details say RM249 without discount. It's nothing to complain about since we don't need to pay. Even if you kacau Unifi CS, they sure will tell you to wait until 7th month. So just ignore it.

After 6 months, our new price will be stick to RM249-RM130 = RM119. The detail will show the relevant discount. If no, then it's time to complain.

Yes. Some branches force you to take postpaid plan if you want to switch to SWU plan. You can cancel the mobile plan after one month. Or you can go to other branches where they won't force you to take such deal.

I also received the similar sms. Let's see what we learned so far after gathering all the info here.

1. "Receive" Exclusive unifi tv pack with netflix. The word "receive" indicated it's free right? Nah. Impossible. Unifi, dont you dare to misguide us.

2. Receive mystery gift. What gift? Why there's 2 different type of SMS while they are obviously talking about the same thing?

3. Authorized dealer. Now this is the most interesting part. They told us to go to Authorized dealers near to our house instead of official TM points. What's reason behind this? If the so called mystery gift involes Unifi TV pack, it should be done under TM point instead of authorized dealer. Something doesn't make sense here.


I have no idea what's Unifi cooking. But one thing for sure. There's no free lunch when it comes to Unifi. I won't waste my time to go to find out what it is. I will wait for someone who are willing to go tomorrow and come back to report to us what they see.


Btw guys, since TM database was hacked and our data was leaked, not sure if the SMS got anything to do with the leak. Anyway, just be careful................

SWU 3.0 300mbps (free upgrade to 500mbps) user here. Last 6 months honeymoon period ended. 7th month bill came in today. RM119 + 6%tax = RM126.15

So I am happy to report that, it's confirmed RM119 for all coming months onwards.

For comrades who also took the same offer last 6 months, no need to worry anymore. No need to bother with those complicated calculation from TM. The correct figure will be reflected in 7th month. Cheers.

It's all happened before Oct 2023. Now the offer is gone already. The current offer is SWU 4.0. Slightly more expensive. No more free upgrade and no more 6 months free.

So free upgrade is still available? Then I suggest you just take the offer.

Nope. The package name is still remained as 300Mbps SWU 3.0. The details do show the 500Mbps figure though.

As I mentioned before, although we got the free upgrade to 500Mbps, the package name will still be the same as the time when you registered to the package (300Mbps).

Received an SMS from Unifi today. Saying that my unifi package name is changed. I checked my portal. And yes, its changed to Unifi Home 500Mbps - Pro Upgrade.

I guess this confirms that the SWU 3.0 free upgrade is indeed permanent.

My swu3.0 starting date was 4th October 2023. And until now, I never receive the message you mentioned above.

IMO, our SWU 3.0 had nothing to do with FSU. When we registered SWU 3.0, on the spot they promised us to offer perpetual upgrade. And we did get the free upgrade after installation, way earlier than the FSU. That's it . End of story. Now I wonder why yours is different. Since most of us registered SWU 3.0 at the same time. Same procedure, same perks. What could have gone wrong? Probably a system glitch? You try not to do anything and see if they will really downgrade your speed. If nothing happens, then I would say just ignore their message and move on. Lol

Keep trying. Sometimes you need more than one hour before it switches. If still cannot, try again at another time. Based on my experience, day times is much easier compared to night times.

Wow. More and more people are getting the same issue. My best guess is that not everyone of us was getting the same treatment. It depends on how the counter handled our registration. And somehow some were done correctly and some were not

But don't be panic first. According to one fellow who reported early that his speed is still the same eventhough he already received the same message since few weeks ago. So there's a big chance that the message is not valid and you can just ignore it.
