well tax wasn't the issue. my point was, even when tally tax AND shipping, it was still WAY cheaper than from local shopee. That was my point really.

Paid 200.21 US Dollars = RM 902.03 (total. shipping + customs all tallied already)

If you check shopee, for the same damn thing is RM 1.7 - 1.8k

Basically over priced buy local. Why so expensive? no idea. Hence why ordered amazon  laugh.gif
I just check, but for roughly same price as a single TPLINK Omada eap-773 (wifi7), you can instead get a TP-LINK DECO XE75 (2 PACK) wifi 6e instead. Or Rm600 for a single XE75.

Up to you between the 2 which is worth it. I think most people would opt for the 6e since it's cheaper and is good enough. Wifi7 harder to benefit when not many clients support wifi7 just yet, despite having some neat improvements (MLO, higher throughput)
What risk do you speak of? If you are referring to warranty, that i'm not sure. But so far the AP works fine, i did not have to claim any warranty for it  smile.gif

The risk he meant about is u buy iphone & u get a rock. But the situation mostly happen in social media platform trading i.e TikTok, Facebook etc. But local wtf media like to use the general term online trading. I agree if he mean no risk for local is over counter transaction by general.

Personally as I see regarding warranty, people not aware about warranty when related to expensive + branded mobile phone 🥴🥴

oo... never happened to me. not saying that wont necessarily happen but i obviously check the reviews before i purchase. also it's amazon, not aliexpress (though i've ordered from the later before without issue). but seeing as i got what i ordered, at least the seller i purchase was fine. i think it was the tplink own store on amazon. you can check there yourself and see the price vs shopee.

i think the warranty is the bigger issue if sourcing from US. so you are betting you don't have to claim warranty, or that if u do, you can hopefully claim from the local tplink though i'm not sure if they will make a fuss or not since u ordered from US region.

I basically when I buy or get or received new out of box phone or modem or any electronic devices, within less 1 hour will no more warranty no more warranty sticker. Need to open the case tp see how it looks like.. to dump factory fw as a backup, my dell latitude bios dump. Other than over voltage, most my devices working properly within 12 months warranty period. Why should I aware about warranty which only cover manufacturing defect.

Just considering saja, will it happen is another case
Wait and see how it goes

as for power adapter, basically all of them are universal voltage these days, you just need simple adapter to change from US to UK Plug and done

ubiquiti U7 about same price as the EAP-773. I checked from singapore seller, not sure about elsewhere.

the U7 Pro MAX, this one double the price for the eap and the regular U7.

The ubiquiti has a fan, the EAP does not. Yes the EAP gets hot, but i don't notice much or any throttle, so i think it's ok. I leave it on 24/7

Hello,
Usually LAN1 is enabled from the Unifi device (modem?) to the WAN port on the wireless router..

Is it possible to get Unifi Tech to also enable LAN2 on the device? Has anyone done this before or if its even possible.

i told the unifi installer to help set to bridge. this effectively turns it into a modem only mode.

then i connect the ont port 1 to my pfsense router (i configured my router port 1 to be WAN port. My port 2 is for LAN).

then my pfsense port 2 i connect to my main switch (24 ports 2.5gbe).

from main switch i add my own wifi ap (eap-773 wifi7). Also desktop pc (SFP+ 10g fiber).

if u just use the ont (2 in 1, modem + router with wifi) unifi give you, not sure since i didn't use it that way. maybe others know smile.gif

maybe black tubi updated his blog hmm.gif

saw unifi guide not new ont

the router given is more than enough to support your 1gbps connection

as for me black dlink DPN-FX3060V_V2.0.3

just make sure 4 things
1- lan1 (2.5gbe port) connect to your pc 2.5gbe port
2- your pc/laptop support 2.5gbe and ethernet properties speed shoes 2.5gbps
3- cat6/7 lan cable
4- if you have all those but still stuck at 950-960mbps, make a report and request technician
that came to your house attend the report to open more OLT

TM will entertain for point 4? At those speeds it is still above minimum 90% of advertised speed requirement by MCMC, I think they’ll just close the case.

previously its -22 when i 1st get free upgrade (sept) and easily 1050-1100mbps after make report open OLT etc
on the 14th jan, my speed suddenly drop cant get more than 950
after checking its the reading -25
so i make a report again ask them to fix it since the fault is from TM side and i dont care about 90% or whatsoever
so they are fixing, and still under progress

Below -22dBm is a good reading. -25 to -28 max for most ONR to up but not for quality. If u use extra patch cord, use the blue color include the adapter. Avoid green color APC which used to connect equipment to equipment. Start from OLT port until ur home is UPC blue connecter.which optical light travel in linear while green APC travel in zig zag. Also can effect the reading at end point.

Good luck, I already gave up as I know the fix will not persist unless they fix the root cause.

It's an integration issue between their billing system and provisioning system.

Do share if you manage to get it resolved.

FYI, it's not a fiber cable quality issue. They will try to blame it on that.

those team already check the reading at the port behind my house and it is -25 there
so they are suspecting the issue related with the reading & at the cabinet
because they already open max OLT 2200download 1100upload
