I had been using Xiaomi AX Router as AP usage for few years,so far so good. As same hardware on Asus brand would be 2-4X price.
tng always think the only device that he use is good, any else that he not using is crap,so dont need to take serious on his comments.

Pull a LAN cable and setup an access point if your brother is staying next door. 🤣

Back to back with a walkway, using Ax3200 main mesh with Ax3600 due to Ax3200 with 800Mbps for 2.4Ghz.

I think the easier way would be to simply buy premade fiber cables in the length you need

measure the current cable length, buy a fiber cable of about that length
put a fiber converter on each side

now you have a lightning safe connection

My unifi connection everyday not stable since last year. SWU 4.0 300 mbps plan. Always random drop connection. It is even noticible during night time from 8 pm till 12 am. Unifi technician came many times but unable to detect the issue. Only change router and modem and leave. I suspect it is due to congestion. Report MCMC done.

as long you still have your old ONU, just plug in and grab your pppoe password from the new AIO router (just in case), you can use your old router.

hmmm unable to confirmed measure need length

that why premade risk if not enough length very hard
that enough RJ45 without premade too

Fair enough
You could buy too long and just store the excess length in the celling or the floor or outside wall or anything as long as you be careful to not break the fiber cable

Dunno cause I've been switching back and forth with my own router as well which is TP link-AX20 and the results are still the same.
