Well, firstly, their email started with "Dear Customer", that is first warning like scam. You don't address your customer like that, right?

Secondly, they want like all your confidential information, on an email. Other banks when they suspect you are AMLA, they will give you forms to fill. But GXBank wants your employee name, LHDN details, salary slip, OMG !!!

If they want to part ways, not my lost.

tbf, that's pretty standard documents they are asking for what. and they asked to provide ANY one of the supporting documents. Not asking you to give them everything.

Be prepared to get your account suspended or you better withdraw faster....

it's a generic template for those involved. it's okay to be cautious, u can contact gxbank instead to ask if it's true. troublesome yes, but i think even scammers might know ur name. just like some banks call me on my registered mobile, but ask me security questions. i asked them how to know if they are legit, they say i can call back.

I also received similar email from GX Bank. The thing is, my account only have 1 cent and not active for almost a year ever since their promotion was over. The other 3 transactions was just on coffee in Bangkok back in March.

I haven't responded. Will respond IF they send me next reminder.

Yes, same email, same format as the one posted by the other person. Only Case ID number at email heading is different.

But I remember many months ago, I clicked on something like interested in the credit facility (or something) for fun. Maybe they want to know my income before extending that credit to me.

If it is correct that GXBank wants to extend credit then their email should say "because you have shown interest in obtaining credit, we would want to extend credit to you, but before that, we need the following information to proceed". But what irk me the most is , "Dear Customer". OMG..... at least scammer also would use victims name la !
