Don't think can direct tap. Shinkasen can buy at counter using Gxbank. Use Suica card for direct tap on subway can topup using card.

GX debit card best card for exchange? Seldom hear about BigPay now, was wondering exchange rate still viable or not.

old uncle like me very reserve and i put money in traditional saving acct in bank like PB with no interest. (feel like donkey sometimes)

and traditional bank. dont put all in one basket. anything contact cs to block and change phone. even traditional bank also like that. i hardly put money to those tradisional bank saving as less interest. only use for fixed deposit and credit card.

all my liquid cash is in digital banks.. all my traditional banks balance is RM0 or min amount RM10/20..

Spread it out in several digital banks to minimize risks in case one of them got issue or offline for maintenance or whatever other reason

Traditional banks PBB, HLB and ambank all have min rm10 inside.

Not advise to do so, if withdraw at at Dbs bank atm, ur card will follow Dbs bank rate, not gx card rate, n 5sgd extra to pay, u may preview but don't press proceed at atm

at sg, don't need too much cash d, alternatively u may consider use grab app, reload using gx card,
at sg the grabwallet will automatically convert to sgd wallet, use ur gx card to reload sgd 10 first thrn u ll see the rate, reload more afterward

Other than digital bank, probably can consider kdi save
It can access by phone or laptop after log in,
n it will only withdraw to single account with ur name
Hav monthly statement like others bank as well

Others poeple with ur phone can't transfer to them anyway

Actually my friend will be going to work in singapore. So he need to have either cash or card to pay his expenses for 1 month before he get his singapore dollar salary. So what is your advise on the way to get cheapest singapore dollor? money changes rate will be cheaper then gx rate? but cannot keep too much cash also right?

sg most of time can accept cc. i only bring cash for emergency (SGD200). that is for 1 week trip & hardly use cash. Majority use cc
So gxbank debit card, CC and cash will do. worse case can exchange money or withdraw money.

Grab Malaysia n singapore same app,the wallet will change to sgd wallet when u r at sg
U reload sgd using gx card, it will follow gx debit card rate, no mark up fee
reload with other cc then u ll need to pay additonal fee

money exchanger normally ll change u some service fee as well

for food in Hawker Centre, I ll pay using grab app
for mrt ezlink card, personal care, shower item, might need to prepare some cash or credit card

now GX bank no more cashback 1% for buying stuff? did i miss out any annoucement?
