I am looking at it for overseas spending purposes, as mentioned, no mark up, no hidden fees. Just another safer way than carrying cash overseas vs. CC with high fees unless got promo with overseas spent

I intro GX bank to a friend and he is now stuck at transferring money for the 1st time from his bank account. He doesn't have any online banking, chat up with CS, was advised to activate this online banking, else there is no way to initiate the 1st time money transfer (must be from the same name account).

He is a little conservative, have some money in the existing bank without online facility, only make use of the ATM to withdraw money.
Periodically, he will ask me to help to upload TnG wallet from mine and then transfer to him and he will pay me cash. I told him about GX bank can upload to TnG easily, ask him to upload himself via GX in future. Just put in 1-2k in GX instead. Even with GX, he said he will ask his wife to transfer money to him to GX, not from his own existing account.

Now I think left with no choice, maybe he will activate the existing bank's online to do the eKYC process.

Really depends, min 20days (up to 50days) credit vs. 0.8% CB more. GX card is 1% right?

I think the main reason why many bank with GX is because of the high % interest return. Then, leave it and earn more. Just treat it as a conventional banking with no ATM card, just online for now. Need money, transfer it to your any other banking and withdraw it it if there is a need. The 1% CB really has that high impact on you financially? Well I was lucky to be in the 1st batch, just tried it once to activate it. I still believes in making use of CC with max 50 days credit is much more worth it, as compared to using my own cash with that 1% CB.

1st time using GX bank's duit now transfer to settle off PBB credit card. Very smooth and fast. These accounts' information also captured under recent payees.
