coz when i google around,i found out that 3870 crossfire in crysis only increased around 2 fps...is it bcoz of un-optimize driver? |

im having problem with my 3870...it seems that when i play certain games, artifact will showed up and the display driver crashed several times...this problem occur when i was playing crysis,CoH and COD4..it's quite irritating especially when im playing CoH on9 -__-
btw my 3870 runs at default clock speed and fan speed is@60% idle at 45c,full load at 62c when playing CoH...so i guess it's not because of the heat problem is it? This post has been edited by noobianz: Feb 5 2008, 02:42 AM |

just wanna share my story with u guys, today I was planning on finishing my COD4...but guess what, after around 5minutes playing the game, artifact start to showed up....it's freaking plenty of artifacts!!..i quit the game,n turn the fan to 60% while logging temp when plaing COD4...the temp only reach 66degrees...then i try uninstall my driver and install it back after cleaning the old driver....problem still occur
after hours of trying,i pull out my 3870 from mobo an re-attach it back...same problem still persist, even worse artifact appear when i boot into windows too.. it turned up to be worse,i enter bios n artifact is all over the bios screen too...i tot my card was dead T_T then i tried to flash my gc bios, maybe this can solve the problem...for F**k sake,my pc stuck when flashing bios OMGWTFBBQPWNZ! I almost give up on my card, but when i reboot my pc,suddenly all goes back to normal...i entered windows uninstall ati driver n use windows vista driver instead...no more artifacts, but i get poor quality image when playing COD4 after awhile, sumthing came up in my mind..i open device manager tab uninstall all driver relating display,re-boot my pc and install ati cat7.12...thank god no moar artifacts!!now stuck at COD4 extracting after killing some guy called Imran |

in the other hand,His has it's own pre-overclocked card,u dont hav to worry bout the warranty...less hassle n more performance btw, does Asus provide 3years or 2years warranty for their graphic card product? This post has been edited by noobianz: Feb 9 2008, 08:46 PM |
