I've seen the unit before ... and its really kinda compact, light weight and small ... but then the performance of it its quite ok if u install it with Windows XP compare to the Linux OS that is bundle together with it. As far as I have experienced on it .. hmm.gif

guys, wanted to try EE, since i am kinda tired always carry a heavy laptop.

main i use my laptop for these things:

Web Browsing,
Microsoft Visual Web Developer Express and SQL Manager.
Flash 8, but very minimal too.
Photoshop, very minimal too.

mainly will be coding and typing word documents, power point slides.

Does the EEE have enuff power for all these ?

Thanks smile.gif

i had the same mindset with you i totaly got rid of my lager laptop for this and im lovin it heh but there are some downside lar for portability like this

Well i tried reading slides on my eee but some of them are just too small heh but then again those 2 x 3 slides printout are smaller

as for coding, im doing my haskell functional programming assignment on this! huhuhu,

I don't have one and I'm just guessing here... but I think the evercool magic's clips are too big for the gaps on the Eeepc fan exhaust vents

Don't waste your time and money on that evercool magic.
I bought one last time and it didnt worked well for other laptops as well.

Aiyar.. laptop coolers are like that one lar. I have 3 laptop coolers in front of me right now. Original plan was to post a 3-way laptop cooler shootout wan but the results are so mixed that I have no clue anymore.

Same I have a couple of them at home.
One is the Vantec, a cheapo one, evercool magic and xcool [can't really remember that name as its still in my drawer].

But I'm surprise that the cheapo one has a better air flow but it spoiled after 3 months.
