i purchased the umobile rm38 first..to test...and got almost 600mbps..and purchased the modem....nr5101....and suddenly no 5g....wadapuk...hahahhaha..and now i just continue using my i100s ....LOL


but after change from b618 to nr5101... my speed increase even still stick on 4g+

If you have intention to use Asus router as Wifi AP, then turn off the NR5101's wifi.

I need the wifi since sometimes i do adjusting the modem.... But i dont share the password to the others..all connected to asus ap

Ok then, because there is a special old sawit tree road for Melaka and N.S., when I going that road with power of UniFi 4G 1 bar band 5, there is 90% no connection happen.

When I inside building, band 40 always kicked me to band 5 and leaving me 8-30M random speed la.
Also UniFi changed equipment for 4G+ I think, because my qualcomm 625 no longer supported 4G+, it will keep jumping in between 4G and 4G+, causing high power consumed.

So yes, I will be interesting on coverage of 5G using n28 on East Malaysia, as I still on the surprised on those news, about going high location to get a stable connection during MCO for learning class.

I guess they might be planning on using n28 on East Malaysia, then middle/high band on west malaysia, this will ensure great coverage and great speed requirement on both side.

For me, I will be using IoT on this WiFI, so no interrupt happen to Asus WiFi.
Because yes, weak wifi device always causing issues on same WiFi, split them into another router workaround it.

Wait, that’s weird.. I have a S21 5G US version at the moment but I can never get 5G connectivity in Malaysia, but on Lion City Singtel, I get 5G with no issues. Running NSA OFC since in SG as far as I know SA runs on n258 which the S21 5G US version doesn’t have. And my 5G NSA runs on B3, does DNB only use B28 to run their 5G network?

Nope i didnt change the host name. Well, only the gui is down and everything else work fine, so no problem for me. Really need to go into gui for sms which is the only reason i enter zte gui now then i restart lo if it inaccessible again.

Should work just fine, I think GL-iNet uses a separate Quectel module for all of their 5G/4G modems, you should technically be able to swap if it doesn’t work but since you can’t choose the module you get with this, it’s probably for the global marker

well…150mbps is pretty usable with such budget setup, heat wise should be much better than u using wifi hotspot.
