Those interested in the Istana’s flora and fauna can join the nature guided tours conducted by National Parks Board volunteers every hour from 10am to 4pm.

Both tours cost up to $4 for Singaporeans and permanent residents, and up to $20 for all other visitors, depending on their age.

Entry to the Istana grounds during the open house is free for Singaporeans and permanent residents.

All other visitors will need to pay an entrance fee of $20 per adult and $10 per child aged between four and 12. Children under four may enter for free.

Is that part of the PR ceremony?

No.

But many museums charge SGD 10 or more for non-Singapore citizens or PRs.

I like Peranakan culture and I have about 15% Baba Nyonya ancestry.

From 2020 to 2022, when I was stressed, I would go to the library to use the computer and look at newspapers from 50 years ago or today's newspapers.

Before 2020, there were many paper versions of newspapers in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and Singapore.

Now, all are accessed on the computer.

Very sad right?

Since got PR, take it further... go be a RC or NC member. I joined as NC member when I still had my PR. Help built relationship when you decide to have family here. Improve chances to join popular schools. Since then I've moved on to be CDC District Councilor. Those who serve long long time.. get pangkat like PBM (Datuk equivalent) / BBM (Tan Sri equivalent). If you want rub shoulders with who's who in government, then this is the path you need to choose. For me, I'm more of sleeping member already since my kids have entered their school of choice. I'm just staying around as an observer and once a while, get free tix for NDPs etc.   

Just sharing that my PR was recently approved. Letter was dated 6 Feb 2024. I applied on 3 Jul 2023 so I guess it took me around 7 months.

Have you achieved something? Example a distinguished award like Nobel price or invented something? Usually with these you would easily get a citizen lol

Hahaha.....unfortunately none.  That's y headache what to write.
