even the digi cs on chat and centre staff gave different answers.

On digi chat support: will use the new pricing starting nov.
digi centre staff: oh noes, new pricing only new user, existing still pay same amount as you now.

lel.. since digi and celcom merged, they become bit more fakap dah..
no reason to stay, even with their postpaid + fibre no longer feel worth already with new pricing tier.

My Celcom fiber 300Mbps plan RM140 contract ended
Should I opt for Unifi for new router or smtg?

Planning to get 500Mbps

If purely for the new router, I would say better buy your own. ISP provided router aren't that great. If you are looking to upgrade 500mbps, just go for any cheap offer available. Try ask TM and Maxis agent see what offer they have for people who switch to their internet.

I agree with this. Even after price adjust in Nov, assuming it happen for old user like me, 100mbps is gonna be RM99. Meanwhile, Maxis and Unifi offers RM89 for the same plan. Will definitely switch in November when my contract end.

ikr, their one main attraction reason was their postpaid + fibre combo rebate... but with new pricing tier, doesn't see any worth already.. better stay on unifi instead.

Same price right.
If you are on public ip then definitely don't. Old celcom contracts has the best public ip with its static subnet.

Celcom generally has more stable network (can't remember the last time celcom had nationwide or even regional downtime or slowdown episode)

But unifi got ipv6 and telephone and faster TAT in case anything bad happen to your physical fiber.

If you are newer or never requested public ip then better just move to unifi.

500Mbps is RM159, need to topup RM19 more
Actually im lazy to switch also so much hassle.
just that the cheap TP-link AX1500 given by Celcom now have started getting problem and also weak coverage
previously before merged with Digi 500Mbps can get free Wifi Mesh also

I surveyed for this feature, only Maxis seems to have this option. So, have been using Maxis for few years. Only RM10 extra per month.

Next year contract habis, you guys recommend to stay or jump ship to other provider?

I think TM Unifi much better, they have perks like 'Stay with Unifi' these kind of thing after your contract end.

Newer subscriber like you definitely better jump. There is zero perks to retain if you stay. If you don't care about public ip, go maxis cheaper.
Maxis with public ip +rm10 means same price with tm so better get unifi instead.

Don't think much about these swu stuff. Its not guaranteed and in between that 2 years 'maturity time' for any offer many things can happen.

probably back to unifi, since the only perks with digi last time was their postpaid + fibre rebates.. now with new pricing i dont see any good perks.. they only rebate rm10 on postpaid, but priced rm10 more on fibre compared to unifi's offering.

definitely goin back.

Yeah, totally agree on that. So far DigiCelcom offers are like peanut, should have sign up for other provider at the start instead.

Hi, I am currently staying in a condo unit
I wonder if I should choose Time vs CelcomDigi
Pros with Celcom Digi - With PostPaid Combo
Pros with Time - Free Mesh WiFi + Better network stability? Hmmm

Would like to get advise on this thanks

Actually you should state what speed you are looking at. If you are looking at download speed of 100Mbps only and not looking at upload speed, why not Unifi or Maxis at current RM89/mth? No need bundle postpaid like digi. If you find agent, same you can get 1 month (or more) cashback

Time , u stay 50th floor also smooth connection.
If Telco, it's depend on the traffic and tower location. Sometime weather also can coz bad connection.

If you have the choice to choose between Time Fibre or other ISPs such as CelcomDiGi, Maxis or Umobile Home Fibre then your wholesale infra in your building is definitely not by TM.

Choose whichever which is less congested.

No... it can be both Time & TM as the backbone, its common in KL condo. In addition, Time does not share its infra with Maxis, Digi yes, Umobile i dunno.
I will suggest, go for the cheapest one, change it after 24 months contract, which agent offer huge promos

So apparently you need to switch over from old digi fibre to celcomdigi fibre to get the price reduction. Just went to digi store and they said can just do it in the app but according to support have to go digi store. Like wut? Super confused.

Edit: Also they have 6 months free offer right now for postpaid customers.
